Ref. LAUKOS - Laurens was first recorded in the 12 century. The village flourished from the many bountiful vineyards that surround it. Also from the unique, black marble which was mined in the area.

Before modern transport, horses served a crucial part of the social and economic infrastructure of the region. You’ll see evidence of this in a moment.......
