The Old Station House lies in a rural settlement between Glamis and Kirriemuir in the county of Angus. Kirriemuir provides a superb range of day to day amenities including a supermarket, primary and secondary schooling, medical, dental and veterinary practices, as well as cafes, pubs and restaurants. Forfar, about 7 miles southeast, and Blairgowrie, 14 miles south west both are within easy reach and provide a greater selection of comprehensive facilities. Dundee is the closest city lying 14 miles to the south and provides two universities, an airport with daily flights to London and an extensive range of national retailers together with the V & A Museum, Olympia swimming pool and Discovery Point where RRS Discovery is on permanent display. Perth, known as the “Fair City”, can be reached in about an hour’s journey by car to the south west with national retailers, banks restaurants, concert hall, theatre, cinema, railway station, leisure centre and ice rink. Angus offers a breadth of recreational opportunities and the property is ideally placed to make the most this vibrant county has to offer. The nearby Angus Glens provide a myriad of walking and cycling trails and a number of Munros all within easy reach. For the golfer, the Kirriemuir Golf Course is within walking distance and courses can also be found in Forfar, Alyth and Blairgowrie. There is an excellent network of walks in the area, including at Castle Woods along the former railway track, where there are Pictish stones.

Description
The Old Station House formerly served nearby Glamis Railway Station, which closed in 1956. The property has an impressive façade with a lovely outlook in a westerly direction over countryside. The property was purchased by the current owners in 2021, who have since carried out a comprehensive upgrade of the house including adding a utility room extension and replacing all the windows with CR Smith double glazed windows. In addition, the kitchen / family room has been opened up to create a lovely open plan space with a newly fitted kitchen and a lovey aspect with glazed doors opening out to a terrace. New flooring has been fitted through the ground floor. Situated off the hallway is a newly installed shower room with ‘rain shower’ system and seat for added luxury. The property has been well maintained and also benefits from a newly installed oil-fired boiler and a newly fitted electric fuse box. The newly upgraded front porch is a real focal point of the house and it incorporates the original pan window. The septic tank was replaced within the past 10 years.
