DESCRIPTION

Luscombe Maye are delighted to bring to the market this beautifully renovated two-bedroom terraced home, positioned in the sought-after village of South Brent. Thoughtfully and sympathetically updated by the current owners, the property has been transformed with great care, successfully blending period character with practical modern living. Original features have been retained and repurposed wherever possible, including reclaimed timber and salvaged materials, creating a home full of warmth, charm and individuality.

The front door opens into a useful entrance/boot room, providing the perfect space for coats and shoes before leading through to the welcoming kitchen/dining room. Designed as the heart of the home, this characterful space centres around the original fireplace with wood-burning stove and offers ample room for family dining and entertaining. The well-appointed kitchen is fitted with a range of units and enjoys a bright, sociable layout.

The first floor provides the generous principal bedroom, alongside a beautifully appointed family bathroom featuring both a freestanding bath and separate shower. A built-in storage cupboard add further practicality.

The second floor is arranged to provide a versatile living room and a further bedroom. The living room is a wonderfully light and inviting space with a vaulted ceiling, fitted bookshelves, a wood-burning stove and rooflights that fill the room with natural light, creating an ideal place to relax. The bedroom enjoys a rooflight framing a lovely view towards Ugborough Beacon and offers flexible accommodation for guests, a child or a home office.

To the rear of the property, a door opens into an open porch with further storage space for boots, coats and logs. This leads to a cobbled courtyard which is owned by the property, with neighbouring properties having a right of way to pass through. A stone shed is also situated within the courtyard. From here, a path continues to the garden, a delightful sun trap which offers a lovely area to sit out and enjoy. The garden includes a seating area and pond, creating a peaceful outside space with plenty of charm.

Situated in the heart of the popular village of South Brent, this charming home offers a rare combination of character, thoughtful renovation and versatile accommodation, all within easy reach of the village's excellent amenities and the beautiful surroundings of Dartmoor National Park.

SOUTH BRENT

The moorland village of South Brent stands in the valley of the River Avon under the southern foothills of Dartmoor National Park and on the northern edge of the lovely South Hams, fifteen miles from the centre of Plymouth.

The village is one with a strong community with three churches, one of which dates back to Norman times, a primary school and a wide variety of shops. There are well-regarded community colleges at Totnes and Ivybridge, approximately eight and five miles distant respectively, and both towns offer a comprehensive range of facilities for the wider community. Some of the finest beaches on the south coast, along with the South West Coast Path, are all within easy reach.

Situated just off the A38 Expressway, the village is well placed for quick access to Plymouth, Torbay and Exeter for which there are regular bus services.
