Good place for modern living by the sea
I have really loved living at Dockside and I definitely believe it's one of the best developments to live in in Leith. The amenities are fantastic, the maintenance team responds super fast, the flats themselves are very well designed, and the staff are so kind — particularly Belle.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Before moving to Dockside I had lived in this part of Leith for two years and loved it. Being near the sea is so refreshing and calming. Ocean Terminal's selection of restaurants and coffee places is super convenient for lunchtime, the Shore is just down the road which is a lovely spot on sunny days, and Newhaven Fishmarket and the big ASDA are just a 15-minute walk away. There are also excellent transport links with frequent bus routes nearby.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any issues I've raised have been dealt with quickly and professionally. The team is always responsive and easy to get in touch with, which makes a real difference day to day.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I'd known just how good the community feel would be — it's a really friendly development and I wish I'd made use of the communal spaces sooner.

A lovely place for us and our cats
What I like most about Dockside is how comfortable it feels. The apartment has lots of natural light, it's quiet and I've always felt very safe here, whether I'm at home on my own or we're both in. The reception team are one of the nicest parts of living here. They always say hello, remember residents and make the building feel much more personal than I expected. We also have two cats, so keeping the apartment clean is a never-ending job. The TULU machine has been brilliant because we can borrow a vacuum whenever we need one instead of storing one away all the time.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I really enjoy living in Leith because there's always somewhere to wander. We often walk down towards The Shore for coffee at the weekend, and there are lots of little independent places that make the area feel different from anywhere else in Edinburgh.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Thankfully there hasn't been much to raise, but it's reassuring knowing the team are always around and willing to help if needed.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I'd known how quickly the building would start to feel familiar. Between seeing the team every day and getting to know the area, it didn't take long to feel settled.

A great start to my move back to the UK
Although I've only recently moved in, my first impressions have been extremely positive. The apartment is beautifully finished, bright and very comfortable, and the building itself has a welcoming feel. Everything has been well maintained and the move-in process was much smoother than I expected.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Having spent many years living in the US, moving back to the UK was a big change. I wanted somewhere that felt modern, safe and well connected, and Dockside has been a great choice. I'm still discovering the area, but I've already enjoyed exploring Leith and being so close to the waterfront. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, and it's easy to get into the city centre whenever I need to.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
As a new resident, I've naturally had lots of questions rather than problems. Every one of them has been dealt with quickly, professionally and with genuine kindness. It's made settling into a new country and a new home much less overwhelming.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I'd known just how supported I'd feel. Moving countries on your own can be daunting, but having such a welcoming team has made the transition far easier than I expected. It's something you can't really appreciate from a viewing, but it has made all the difference.

Easy living
I've really enjoyed living at Dockside. The apartment is comfortable, well finished and easy to maintain, which suits my lifestyle. Living here with my dad has worked out really well as there's enough space for us both, and the layout doesn't feel cramped. One of the things I use most is the gym. It's made it much easier to stay active because I can meet a friend for a workout without having to travel anywhere. Having facilities like that in the building is a real benefit and something I use every week.
The building is always clean, feels secure and is looked after to a high standard. The management team are approachable and helpful whenever I've had a question, and it's nice to see familiar faces around reception. They strike a good balance between being professional and friendly.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location has been one of the biggest advantages for me. I work long hours, so it's useful having shops, cafés and Ocean Terminal within walking distance. The tram makes getting into the city quick and straightforward, and there are plenty of places nearby if I want to grab something to eat or meet a friend after work. Leith has a good atmosphere without feeling too busy.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Whenever I've needed assistance, the response has been quick and straightforward. Communication has been clear, and any issues have been dealt with efficiently.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I didn't think I'd get as much use out of the facilities as I have. Having the gym in the building has been a real bonus, especially with a busy work schedule. It saves time and makes it much easier to keep a routine.

Fun and close to Leith
Moving to Dockside has been a really positive experience. The apartments are modern, comfortable and well looked after, but what has made the biggest difference for me is the sense of community. It doesn't just feel like a building where people come and go, it feels like somewhere people actually know each other.
The team have been wonderful from the beginning. They're always welcoming, happy to stop for a chat and genuinely interested in getting to know the residents. It makes a real difference and creates such a friendly atmosphere.
I've also really enjoyed seeing more community events being organised recently. They've been a great way to meet people and get to know neighbours I probably wouldn't have spoken to otherwise. The Pilates classes have been one of my favourite additions, and I'd love to see even more classes or a regular wellness programme. I think there are lots of residents who would enjoy things like Pilates, yoga or other fitness sessions if they were offered more often.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
One of the things I enjoy most about living here is the location. Leith has so much character, with lovely cafés, restaurants and independent shops, and it's so easy to get into the city centre whenever I want. I like that I can walk to most places or hop on the tram if I'm heading further afield. It feels like you get the best of both worlds.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any questions or requests I've had have always been dealt with quickly and kindly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wasn't sure if I'd go to many events, but they've been a lovely way to meet new people and feel part of the building. I'd definitely encourage new residents to give them a try.
