4Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The best part about living here is having an Aldi so nearby . Cannon hill park is also walking distance from here and it’s a great place to hang out . Connectivity is pretty good , with there being buses going to the city . The only downside is that there isn’t a train station nearby . It’s also quite noisy with a lot of traffic sounds at night , but otherwise , the location of the property is quite good and accessible .
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes , the management has always been prompt about responding to any maintenance related problems .
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Higher floors facing Pershore road is noise at night .

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is very convenient, with easy access to Birmingham city centre and the University of Birmingham. There are supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, and other everyday amenities within walking distance, making daily life very convenient. Public transport links are excellent, with frequent buses and good road connections. The neighbourhood feels safe and quiet overall, and I have not experienced any issues with noise or anti-social behaviour since moving in.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Although I have only been living here for a short time, the building management has been very responsive and helpful. They have answered my questions promptly, kept me updated throughout the move-in process, and have always been friendly and professional. So far, I have been very happy with the level of support they provide.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how useful the resident apps are. Make sure to set up Parcel SafePlace, ActiveBuilding, and Switch2 as early as possible, as they make parcel deliveries, maintenance requests, and utility management much easier. Also, the co-working spaces and resident lounge are great places to work or relax, so they are definitely worth making use of.

4Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Fantastic location in leafy Edgbaston, right next to the beautiful Cannon Hill Park. The neighbourhood is peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by plenty of greenery, making it a lovely place to relax and unwind. At the same time, it’s conveniently located not far from Birmingham City Centre, so you can easily enjoy the best of both worlds — a tranquil residential setting with the city’s attractions and amenities within easy reach.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not had any issue so far but I've seen the property managers respond swiftly to issues raised by other residents.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I think a nice-to-have that is missing is a fully equipped gym. I wonder if they can partner with Puregym in the same building to give residents of Corkfield discounts.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in Corkfield Building for the past 16 months has been a genuinely pleasant experience overall. The local area has a great mix of shops, restaurants, and open_spaces, especially with Moseley, Kings Heath, and the city centre all within easy reach. There’s a good range of cafés and independent spots nearby, and most essentials are within walking distance. Transport links are convenient—regular buses, quick access to the city centre, and reliable routes even at peak times. The only downside is occasional congestion during rush hour, but that’s expected for Birmingham. My street itself is generally quiet and feels safe. Parking can be limited at busy times, but manageable. Bin collections are consistent, and I haven’t experienced notable anti‑social behaviour. Traffic noise is minimal for a city location, and the building’s insulation helps a lot. Overall, it’s a comfortable, well‑connected place to live with a nice balance of convenience and calm.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management (Alexandra Enea) has generally been responsive and professional. Whenever I’ve raised an issue, they’ve acknowledged it quickly and arranged a solution within a reasonable timeframe. Communication is clear, and even when things take a little longer during busy periods, I’ve still felt supported.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I’d known before moving into Corkfield Building is how much the day‑to‑day atmosphere changes depending on the time of year. During quieter months the building feels calm and spacious, but at peak move‑in periods it can get noticeably busier, especially around the lifts and communal areas. It’s not a problem, just something you only realise after living here for a while. I also didn’t fully appreciate how pet‑friendly the building is. As someone living with two giant dogs, it’s been a relief to discover how wide the corridors are, how reliable the lifts are, and how close the green spaces are for daily walks. It’s a great place for large pets, but that’s not obvious from a standard viewing. A final tip for new neighbours: get familiar with the parcel lockers early on. They’re incredibly convenient, but they fill up fast during busy seasons, so keeping an eye on delivery timings makes life easier.
Manager's response5Thank you, Mani, for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of your experience living at Corkfield - it is a pleasure to have you and the dogs as residents here! We're delighted to hear that you've enjoyed the modern design, facilities, convenient location, and pet-friendly environment. It's also great to know that our management team, including Alex, has been able to support you with clear communication and responsive service. We appreciate your constructive feedback regarding busier periods and occasional delays during peak times. We continuously look for ways to improve the resident experience and your comments help us do that. Thank you for recommending Corkfield, and we hope you continue to enjoy calling it home for years to come!
