Union Wharf - Incredible!
I couldn't speak more highly of Essential Living and the Union Wharf Development. This site is truly spectacular with so much to rave about - from the work from home spaces, communal areas such as 2 rooftop kitchens, lounge areas and rooftop outdoor spaces with many fully equipped barbecue areas all offering 360 degree views across London, there is plenty of space to enjoy outside of your own apartment. Downstairs, in the reception area you have the team of the most wonderful, friendly and helpful crew who ensure that living here is both fun and enjoyable and they go out of their way to help where possible - a big shout out to Siobhon and Mukthar who are always willing to help! The reception area is also manned 24/7, through the night by security who make sure our safety is their priority. You also have the gym which is another major plus for the building, which is stacked with impressive new Technogym equipment, which comes free to use for residents here and onsite PTs are available to provide guidance and a hand where needed, too.
Now another main reason I have been here for coming up to 2 years is the amazing events and sense of community the building has. Regular free events are organised by the incredible Lucy, and provide opportunity to meet with fellow residents and build a community. Examples of some of my favourite past events include Reed Diffuser workshop, Xmas market, Halloween Party, wreath making workshop, fully catered summer barbecues, rooftop drinks nights, annual Easter Egg hunt ... the list goes on and on. It's special to have these types of events included as part of being a resident here and a big part of the reason I have not and probably will not consider leaving for the foreseeable future.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Greenwich is an amazing area to live in - with close transport links including both Cutty Sark and Greenwich station only a 7 minute walk away, getting into central London is quick and easy. Cutty Sark is a lovely area, bustling with locals and tourists alike, and there is plenty of history to experience in the area - including the Old Royal Naval College, Queen's House, Maritime Museum, Painted Hall, Greenwich Market, Royal Observatory just to name a few. Some local favourite pubs including the newly opened 'The Ship', to the historic Trafalgar Tavern and Cutty Sark Pub are closeby and can't be missed. The area is safe and feels very family friendly, open to all and green with plenty of open spaces and parks!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
If any issues have arose, for example our fridge broke down, a new one was ready and installed within 24 hours - incredibly fast and efficient and taken seriously.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The amazing sense of community and activities that are always on here - organised by the fabulous crew!

Happy New Tenant at Union Wharf :)
Very modern design with bright rooms and fabulous views from the bedroom, and especially the top floor. Love the communal areas - lots of plants and seating areas. Love the working area and the social room to hire. Love the colour scheme. Facilities all well maintained.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Close to a range of supermarkets and food spots, as well as lots of green space. Surrounded by cycle paths on nearby roads. Great bin service, decent gym, and handy to have a cafe downstairs and on site snacks downstairs.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Quick to help with switching wifi, gym induction and inventory issues.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Nearby car parking space available for cheaper price than on site .

Great places and people especially the events.
Good use of lots of amenities. Not only in 1 building but both, just incase 1 is full or booked. Testing is done every week which is good. Though I have to say the safety of the key fob in Walton Heights on the 11th floor, the fob for the stairs access doesnt work after midnight. Which is concerning incase some gets stuck upstairs and something happens. Which was the case for me.
There is big empty space in the front of the building, maybe a garden pach for though interesting and more great is always good.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I like that there are free amenity spaces and booking spaces availability. There is a nice convenient cafe attached aswell (even though it isn't the same owner, it could be better prices)....groceries, there is a waitrose very big just less than 5 mins walk. The opposite way there is 2 other express groceries store. Thats good. The building isnt in the center of cutty sark, so not crowded on the roads. There is the Greenwich park close by aswell thats useful for dog owners. There is a small pach of green(gravel really) for dogs. (There could be more grass thats softer for pets paws).
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been consistently reliable and professional. I have not experienced any issues during my time here, and communication has always been clear and timely. Maintenance requests, when needed, are handled efficiently. Overall, the service provided has met expectations and contributed to a smooth and hassle-free living experience
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
There is nothing significant I wish I had known before moving in. The experience has been straightforward and met expectations from the start. All key information was provided clearly, and there have been no surprises or issues. Overall, the transition into the property was smooth, and everything has functioned as anticipated.

We
I absolutely adore living in Union Wharf! The community of people is lovely and I really appreciate the events that Essential Living puts on so that we can get to know our neighbours as well! I find it so easy to stay active with the complimentary yoga classes and the gym right downstairs, and have met some lovely people through these activities! The amenities are fantastic and make living here such a treat, on top of our gorgeous flat already. The team is so friendly and responsive with any issues, and it makes coming home that much more welcoming.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Very close to transport links - bus stops that go into central from right outside the building and overground station making it so easy to get into the city! Love the feel of the area, not quite as busy as central but still lots going on in the neighborhood, loads of nice shops/ restaurants/ cafes in Greenwich and bars/ markets in Deptford. River is so close so easy to go for a nice long walk, or in Greenwich Park, making it easy to get out in nature
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any maintenance issues we’ve had were sorted within a couple days at most, and the maintenance team is always very friendly and professional.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The community of neighbours is honestly really lovely and it’s so worth putting yourself out there to meet them!

Highly recommend for couples, families and co-sharing professionals
Great Gym, the apartment is well sized with plenty of storage and good amenities. Well insulated for winter and summer, with low costs - roughly £100 a month on utilities at present for 2 bed, plus council tax. It's dog friendly which we love and the roof facilities are great. Also there's an onsite guest apartment you can rent for visiting friends and family
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
We moved in just over a year ago now and have been in love with our Home since day 1. The building is well maintained, never an issue and the team onsite are super helpful. All the facilities are excellent, and we may well have one of the best home gyms in the market. On top of this the location of Greenwich is perfect, taking me 10 mins to commute to London Bridge for work and we pretty much have everything we need on our doorstep. Couldn't imagine living anywhere else so we recently extended our lease by another 3 years. There's also a lot of great local shops, bars and restaurants aswell as schools and parks.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Anything that we've needed help with has been managed and resolved very quickly without issue, and the building are very proactive on maintenance and keep us well informed.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Good things are low cost to run vs other apartment buildings. 2 bed 2 persons costs approx £100 a month in utilities vs other places where Ive paid substantially more.
