Life at Cortland at Colliers Yard
Cortland is a beautiful development and I believe its thr aesthetic but more importantly the access to facilities that justify the rent. My only gripe would be that some things break easily, but the maintenance team is always on it. It has its occasional management issues like any property, but most are caused by bad actors amongst the diverse collection of tenants, and the management does its best to smoothen the experience for everyone else. Personally, I don't mind whatever drama arises - it makes things interesting and definitely memorable.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Cortland's location is superb. It's positioned in a new and up-and-coming region of Manchester that is clean, quiet, and populated by great restaurants and numerous shops, all in spite of being a few minutes from the city centre and a short walk from northern quarter. The nearest bus stop to traverse south is a little far, but not so much as to be a deal breaker.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Generally quickly and effectively, and always with a smile.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Thr worst part about living at cortland is the app-triggered door keys. They work, but are just inconvenient enough to be a massive nuisance when you're already having a bad day. Good old fashioned keys are better.

Benefits of Cortland
The development is amazing and has extensive facilities such as the gym which is far better than any other apartments I viewed, as well as this the study area is amazing to help get work done as the environment is beneficial as well as having so many different areas to work in.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
It is easy to get any shopping you need nearby since there is a shop attached to the building, as well as this it is open till 11pm making it easily accessible at most times of the day
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any issues I have had with my apartment have been resolved in a timely manner
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known how warm it would get living so high up but it is an easy fix

Living at Cortland Colliers Yard
The building is modern and well designed. All amenities, especially the private suites and co working spaces are finished to an extremely high standard. The appliances in the flats are also excellent quality. The management are very friendly and helpful however there have at times been issues with packages going missing and a lack of organisation in the parcel room. While this is in part an issue with the delivery companies, the parcel room needs better monitoring and security measures as it is possible for non-residents to enter past the reception.
Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is excellent, extremely central with a great local restaurants, coffee shops and green space. Although at times it can be noisy as it is a city centre location, this is to be expected, and the flats are well sound proofed.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
While I have not had any urgent issues, it takes a long time for management to come and fix minor problems within the flat. However, they may be faster with more pressing issues.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would have liked to have been made aware that there is an app and a key fob option, however you cannot have both.
