Sellers Comments-
This was our first home together after both growing up in the area. We moved into the flat when it was brand new and have had 8 very happy years since, sharing lots of lovely memories, including getting married.

One of our favourite things about the flat is the amount of space and layout, being the biggest in the block. It’s also very light due to the windows and doors. The open plan living area is great for us to spend time together and also for hosting our friends and family, without feeling cramped. Being on the ground floor has also been amazing for us, having direct access to the communal garden space, with our own patio.

The location has been fantastic for us, being super close to Reading town centre, which we can either walk to or jump on the bus very conveniently. We also use Prospect Park for our daily walks and often frequent the nice coffee shop there. We’re also close to the M4, making commuting and travelling easy. We’ve got plenty of big supermarkets around and a local convenience store.

Having our own allocated parking space is another bonus for us, making day to day life super convenient, and there is always plenty of space around, including visitors’ spots for when people come to visit.

We’ve had some lovely neighbours over the years and have shared some truly amazing times and milestones here. We’ve been so happy here and will be sad to leave, but we know the next owners will love it as much as we have!

Kiel’s view-
If you're searching for your first home or downsizing, it's often the balance between convenience and lifestyle that makes all the difference. This apartment offers exactly that.

Built just eight years ago, this beautifully maintained two double bedroom ground floor apartment has been lovingly looked after by the current owners and is ready for someone new to move straight in and enjoy.

As you enter, you're welcomed by a bright, modern interior that's been designed with practical everyday living in mind. The open living space flows effortlessly towards the patio doors, allowing plenty of natural light to fill the room while giving direct access to the communal gardens. Positioned towards the rear of the development, you'll enjoy a peaceful outlook and a quiet setting away from passing traffic, making it the perfect place to relax after work or enjoy your morning coffee outside.

The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, while both bedrooms are genuine doubles, offering flexibility whether you're buying as a couple, living alone with a home office or planning for the future. The principal bedroom benefits from its own en suite, alongside a separate family bathroom, giving the apartment a level of practicality that's often difficult to find in similar properties.

Outside, you'll have the convenience of allocated parking along with well-maintained communal garden space wrapping around the property, creating an attractive green space that's ideal during the warmer months.

From my experience as a local independent estate agent, this home will particularly appeal to first-time buyers looking for something modern, low maintenance and well connected. It's tucked away in a peaceful position yet remains incredibly close to Reading town centre, excellent transport links and everyday amenities. As Reading continues to grow and invest in its infrastructure, homes in locations like this remain highly desirable, making this not only a fantastic place to live but also a smart long-term purchase.

If you'd like to arrange a viewing, I'd love to show you around.

Area view-
Ruhemann Street offers a fantastic balance between peaceful residential living and everyday convenience, making it a brilliant location for first-time buyers.

One of the biggest lifestyle benefits is being within easy walking distance of Prospect Park. Whether you enjoy an early morning run, walking the dog throughout the year, meeting friends for a coffee after a stroll or spending weekends with family, the park has become one of Reading's most popular outdoor spaces. With open green areas, woodland walks, sports facilities and children's play areas, it's somewhere you'll find yourself returning to time and time again.

For commuters, Reading West station is easily accessible on foot (1.4 miles) or central Reading Station itself at 2.1 miles), providing direct services into Reading's mainline station where you'll benefit from fast trains into London Paddington, the Elizabeth Line and connections across the South East. Regular bus routes also make travelling into the town centre simple, while excellent road links via the A33, A4 and M4 make commuting by car equally convenient.

Everyday essentials are all close by, with supermarkets, independent cafés, gyms and local shops serving the surrounding community. The area is also well regarded for a range of primary and secondary schools, making it a location that continues to appeal to buyers at every stage of life.

Perhaps the biggest attraction is the lifestyle this location offers. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of a modern development set back from the hustle and bustle, while still being just minutes from everything Reading has to offer. It's exactly the type of location that continues to perform well as the town grows, making it an excellent place to put down roots and enjoy the years ahead.
