Description

This impressive four-bedroom detached family home occupies an attractive position within the sought-after village of Wingfield, backing directly onto open fields and offering beautifully presented, flexible accommodation throughout. The property combines generous internal proportions with a sizeable rear garden, extensive driveway and double garage, making it ideally suited to modern family living.

Approach to the home is via an extensive driveway which provides ample off-road parking and leads to the double garage, whilst the main entrance opens into a good-sized entrance hall. From here, stairs rise to the first-floor accommodation, with doors providing access to the principal ground-floor rooms.

The kitchen/breakfast room measures approximately 18ft in length and enjoys a dual aspect, creating a wonderfully light and inviting space. Finished in a contemporary style, it provides ample room for informal dining and forms an excellent everyday hub for the home.

The living room is similarly generous, extending to approximately 18ft and decorated in a tasteful palette of neutral tones and hues, complemented by a striking accent wall which provides an attractive focal point to the room. Its proportions allow for a variety of furniture arrangements, creating a comfortable space in which to relax and unwind.

A separate dining room provides the perfect setting for family meals or more formal entertaining, whilst completing the ground-floor accommodation is a superb garden room. This versatile addition creates a natural connection between the house and garden and provides further valuable reception space.

Moving upstairs, the first-floor landing gives way to all of the accommodation on this level. The principal bedroom is a well-proportioned room and benefits from the convenience of its own en-suite shower room. Of the remaining three bedrooms, two occupy the front elevation, whilst the fourth is positioned to the side, offering excellent flexibility for a growing family, guests or those requiring a dedicated home office. These bedrooms are served by a stylish four-piece family bathroom.

Externally, the rear garden is particularly generous in size and provides an attractive backdrop to the home. Predominantly laid to lawn, it is complemented by deep, established borders housing an array of mature plants, shrubs and bushes, creating colour and interest throughout. The garden's size provides ample space for outdoor entertaining, children's play and relaxation, whilst the position backing onto fields further enhances the sense of openness and provides a delightful outlook.

Wingfield is a charming and peaceful hamlet set within the Bedfordshire countryside, offering a delightful semi rural lifestyle while remaining conveniently close to everyday amenities. Surrounded by open fields and scenic walking routes, it provides a tranquil setting ideal for those seeking a quieter pace of life. Despite its rural feel, the village is well placed for access to nearby towns such as Leighton Buzzard and Toddington, as well as excellent road and rail links into London.

About Urban & Rural Property Services, Toddington

16 High Street, Toddington, LU5 6BY
Industry affiliations:

Toddington is a beautiful village designed and built around a large central green which provides a delightful focal point for the almost 5,000 residents that call it home. It is positioned five miles north-north-west of Luton, four miles north of Dunstable and six miles southwest of Woburn and offers superb commuter access to the M1 as well as the nearby mainline railway stations in Harlington and Flitwick.

Dating back to the thirteenth century the village now offers a vibrant, bustling feel, combined with an authentic sense of community and has a wide range of shops including hairdressers, beauty salon, opticians and traditional bakers. It is also well served by three public houses, The Oddfellows, The Bell and The Griffin, in addition to Red Chilli offering high quality Indian cuisine.

Schooling within the village operates on a three-tier system with St George's Lower positioned on Manor Road, Parkfields Middle nestled in Park Road itself before moving onto Harlington Upper School located less than three and half miles, or 8 minutes, away, with all having a particularly good reputation.

On the Northern edge of the village is Toddington Manor which is a stunning Tudor Manor house with a deep, rich history predating the Norman invasion of 1066, visited by Elizabeth I in 1563 where she knighted the owner, Henry Cheney. In more recent, light hearted village history Kevin McCloud, presenter of TV show Grand Designs was born and raised in Toddington, English poet William Blake is said to have drunk in the, now converted, Angel pub, whilst child actor Jack Wild, best known for his role as the Artful Dodger in the film Oliver is buried in the parish cemetery.
