Seller’s comments…

”I bought my flat in Morris Close just over five years ago, as a first time buyer. It was also the first time I had moved out of my parents house and lived alone, so I was very glad for the big gate to the estate to make me feel safe and secure.

It was also during COVID, and everyone was in bubbles and unsure what the future held, so I was working from home for a good year before we were allowed to return to the office. The bedroom is so big (ridiculously big!) that I could easily fit my desk and chair in there as well as my king bed and other storage, so it was super comfortable and cosy to work in. When we returned to office working, being in central Reading the commute there was dead easy, as the property is a stones throw away from the M4, and both Winnersh and Wokingham train stations if I didn’t want to drive.

I had so many great memories there. Warm summers, great neighbours and cosy christmasses. Not to mention how insulated the place is - barely cost me anything in utility bills!

Life seemed to pick up a couple of years in, and I met my boyfriend (now husband) and moved in with him, renting the flat to a very good friend, who took such good care of it before he moved out.

Now I have a son, and we would like to upsize at some stage, and so I reluctantly made the decision to sell the flat. It is a wonderful property and I am gutted to see it go, however it owes someone else the best memories moving forward, and I look forward to handing the keys to them.”

Adam's (estate agent) comments...

Homes as impressive as this, tucked away behind secure gates, are rare to find and this could be your opportunity to own one.

This modern one-bedroom ground floor apartment in Wokingham is an ideal choice for a first-time buyer, professional, or investor looking for a well-presented property in a highly sought-after town.

One of the standout features is the exceptionally spacious bedroom. There is plenty of room for a king-size bed as well as a desk, making it particularly well suited to those who work from home. Built-in wardrobes provide useful additional storage without compromising on floor space.

The modern bathroom is light, bright and beautifully maintained, offering a clean and contemporary space.

However, my favourite part of the property is undoubtedly the dual-aspect open-plan kitchen, dining and living room. With windows on two sides, the room is flooded with natural light and has a wonderfully bright and airy feel. The kitchen is in excellent condition and offers an impressive amount of storage, making this a practical space for both everyday living and entertaining.

There are also two large storage cupboards off the hallway, providing valuable additional storage which is a real bonus for an apartment of this size.

Externally, the property continues to impress. There is an allocated and numbered parking space, along with plenty of visitor parking, making it ideal if you regularly have friends or family over. There is also a covered bike storage area.

Why Wokingham?

Wokingham is a fantastic place to call home, combining the character and community feel of a traditional market town with excellent everyday amenities. The town centre offers a great selection of shops, cafés, restaurants and leisure facilities, while the surrounding area provides plenty of green space and countryside to enjoy. Wokingham is also popular with commuters thanks to its transport connections and proximity to Reading and London.

Whether you're looking for your first home, a convenient base for commuting, or a buy-to-let investment in Wokingham, this apartment offers an appealing combination of space, condition, storage, parking and location.

Properties offering this much for a one-bedroom apartment are not easy to find, so an early viewing is highly recommended.
