Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
King’s Cross is an excellent area to live in, with a huge choice of restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. The transport links are exceptional, making it very easy to reach anywhere in London. Granary Square, Coal Drops Yard and Regent’s Canal are also within walking distance. The area can get busy during peak hours, but overall it is convenient, lively and pleasant.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management and concierge team have always responded quickly and professionally to any questions or requests. Edson in particular has been exceptionally helpful, friendly and willing to assist with anything I needed.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known beforehand just how valuable the concierge service would be. Having such a friendly and supportive team available makes everyday life much easier, especially when settling into a new city.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
We loved the location - so many stores, restaurants and activities right outside the apartment. The bus even stops right outside the building. We loved the “in house” restaurant Alma, best breakfast in town!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We had a minor issue with the AC but it was fixed in no time. Very helpful.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We were very happy with our stay. We were new to the UK and we didn’t know how complex it is to set up all the utilities - that was a bit of a headache and if possible we would have preferred to have it included.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
This is a wonderful area to live in, full of great restaurants, places to eat and other amenities. It’s a mix of old and new - Victorian industry and the 21st century city - and it makes for an exciting mix. Transport connections are a little distant for central London, but the other positives of the area more than make up for it.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Always. The one bugbear was WiFi. Turning it on and back on again never worked. It’s not powerful enough for the full flat.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Enjoy it! You will miss it when you leave. We only left a day ago and want to come back.
Manager's response5Dear Diederick, Thank you for your wonderful review and for sharing your experience with our community. We are delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed your time at Author and felt comfortable and well looked after during your stay. Your kind words about Sergej, Anthony, Marwha, Jakub, Edson, and the wider team mean a great deal to us. It's fantastic to know that you enjoyed the facilities, including the gym, games room, screening room, and of course those incredible views from the 11th floor. We're also pleased that you appreciated both the design of the apartments and the vibrant local area. Thank you as well for your feedback regarding the Wi-Fi. We value all resident feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our services and resident experience. We are truly touched by your comment that you already want to come back. It was a pleasure having you as part of our community, and everyone at Author wishes you and your family all the very best for the future. Kind regards, Darek

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Many shops and placees to eat, friendly and safe neighborhood. Accessible supermarket. Far from tube and transportation is a bit annoying.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes the management is very quick to respond to any concerns and problems we faced as tenants.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Nothing in specific the overall distance of the building from the tube station is far but that's an obvious concern we overlooked considering the buildings's amenities.
Manager's response5Dear Maria, Thank you, Maria, for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear that you've enjoyed the modern design of the building, our amenities, and the service provided by our concierge, maintenance, and management teams. It's especially rewarding to know that our seasonal resident events have helped make your experience more enjoyable and contributed to a strong sense of community. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the distance from public transport. While King's Cross offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, and amenities nearby, we understand that the walk to the station may not suit everyone's daily routine. We're pleased to hear that the building's amenities and overall living experience have helped balance this for you. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. It has been a pleasure having you as part of our community, and we look forward to continuing to provide you with a great living experience. Kind regards, Darek

We’re really happy with the area and feel very lucky to live here. There’s a great choice of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby, as well as lovely open spaces to enjoy. It’s a welcoming area with everything we need close by, making it a genuinely enjoyable place to live.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management team has always been friendly, professional and very responsive. Any issues we have raised have been dealt with quickly and efficiently, with clear communication throughout. We feel that our concerns are genuinely listened to and taken seriously.

One thing we wish we had known before moving in is just how enjoyable and convenient the development would be. The community atmosphere, well-maintained facilities and helpful management team have made settling in really easy.
