Description

75a Forbeshill is a delightful bungalow which sits on the eastern edge of Forres, around a mile and a half from the town centre, with three bedrooms, a large lounge and a bright conservatory. It would work particularly well for a couple looking to downsize, a small family or anyone simply wanting the benefits of bungalow living.

The front garden is mostly gravelled, with a paved and gravel driveway down the side of the house, giving you access towards the rear garden.

Once inside, you step into a hallway with light coloured neutral walls and grey patterned flooring. The hall then turns and continues through the bungalow, with the various rooms leading off as you make your way around.

The lounge is a large room with plenty of floor space for sofas and other furniture. A wide window stretches across the front wall, while the walls are decorated in two shades of grey. One wall is a much deeper blue grey with subtle circular patterns, giving the room a stronger focal point without making it feel dark. Wall lights are fitted around the room and there’s a modern ceiling fan and light overhead.

Across the hall is the kitchen. This is a long galley style room with cream cabinets and timber effect worktops running down both sides. White wall tiles sit above the worktops with a narrow green mosaic strip running through the middle. The stainless steel sink and drainer are set into one side, with space beneath for laundry appliances, while the cooker sits opposite with further cabinets and worktop space. At the far end, a glazed rear door leads directly into the conservatory.

The conservatory has windows wrapping around three sides beneath a pitched polycarbonate roof, that keeps it bright year round. Timber effect flooring runs throughout with a radiator fitted to ensure it stays a warm and cosy place to relax. There’s enough room here for both a dining table and additional seating, so it doesn’t have to serve just one purpose. French doors open straight onto the patio outside.

The largest bedroom in the home has light grey painted walls and a window that brings in natural light. One whole section of the room is taken up by built in wardrobes with large mirror fronted sliding doors, giving you plenty of storage for clothes and personal belongings.

A second bedroom sits nearer the front of the bungalow and is a smaller single room. The walls are kept light and there’s a window on the outside wall . Its size would work well as a child’s bedroom, guest room or home office depending on what you need.

Returning to the hallway, a smaller rear hall leads through to the final bedroom. This is a comfortable double with white walls and a simple neutral finish, with enough room for a double bed and bedside furniture without the space feeling squeezed.

The bathroom has a white bath which runs along one wall with cream tiles around it and an electric shower fitted above. Alongside, the white wash basin is set over a timber storage unit with drawers and cupboards beneath, while the toilet completes the suite. A large mirror and timber shelf above the basin add another useful bit of storage and display space.

At the rear, the garden is mainly paved, giving you a nice patio area with plenty of room for outdoor furniture. Timber fencing encloses the garden, keeping it nice and private, while a paved path continues around the side of the house with a timber shed already in place.
