Downsview, is a sought after residential area of 1930's bungalows. It is popular and convenient for the High Street and also Sainsbury's and Waitrose within walking distance. There is also a bus stop at the top of the road which will either take you into Heathfield town, to Eastbourne or Tunbridge Wells. There is also a local Flexibus that comes along the road on a Tuesday and Thursday. Other buses go from the High Street to Uckfield, Lewes and Brighton.
The High Street has a good selection of shops, a doctor's surgery and medical amenities. There are local churches, primary schools and a secondary school. The town has a good community with many annual events along with a variety of local clubs and societies to suit all ages.
