Shops, supermarkets, bars and pharmacies are within walking distance, in a town of about four thousand people that stays lively throughout the year. Mistretta's churches, fountains and stone palazzi make it one of the best preserved old centres in the Nebrodi.

Santo Stefano di Camastra's beach is twenty minutes down a scenic road, Cefalù about 45 minutes and Palermo an hour and a half. A matching apartment across the landing may also be available.
