Description

Property Insight
Set within an attractive modern development moments from Baldock's mainline station, this first-floor apartment makes an ideal first purchase or commuter base, offered with the added benefit of no upward chain. The property sits above a run of undercroft parking, with its own dedicated space beneath the building, and is approached through a private entrance at the front. At around 563 sq ft, the accommodation is arranged to make the most of a bright, open layout, and the position could hardly be more convenient for anyone travelling regularly into London or Cambridge.

At the heart of the home is a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and living room, finished with rich engineered-wood flooring and filled with light from twin windows. The kitchen is fitted with contemporary grey gloss units and granite worktops, with integrated appliances, and there is ample room alongside for both a dining table and a full seating area — a sociable, flexible space that works as well for everyday living as it does for entertaining. The quality of the finish carries through the whole floor.

The double bedroom is a comfortable, well-proportioned room with fitted mirrored wardrobes and a window to the front, while the bathroom is finished to a high standard with a panelled bath, wall-hung WC, vessel basin over a walnut-effect vanity, and softly lit tiling. Storage is well considered throughout. With its station-side setting, secure parking and move-in-ready condition, this is a rare opportunity to buy a smart, low-maintenance home in one of Baldock's most convenient positions.

Location – Baldock
Baldock is a historic market town in North Hertfordshire, 9 miles from Royston, 3 miles from Letchworth and 14 miles from Hertford, with excellent commuter links to London via its own train station or the A1M and M25. Though small, the town has an array of architecture spanning the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras. The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin was built around 1150 by the Knights Templar, sits at the centre of the town, and runs two church schools — St Mary's Infant and St Mary's Junior. There is a long tradition of brewing which continues today, with local cider and ales sold at The Orange Tree, a 330-year-old pub. The Baldock Festival runs three weeks of museum displays, tastings, beer festivals, brewery tours, cricket, comedy and quiz nights. The town offers independent retailers, chain stores and supermarkets, alongside a football pitch, BMX run, basketball court, play areas and the Knights Templar Sports Centre.
