Description

A two-bedroom terraced cottage in a rural setting, offering scope for updating and improvement, with gardens and parking.
No onward chain

Desription
This two-bedroom terraced cottage forms part of a small terrace of four properties surrounded by open farmland. Built in a traditional style with brick elevations beneath a slate-tiled roof, the property offers an excellent opportunity for a new owner to update and improve the accommodation to their own taste.
The ground floor includes a good-sized kitchen/breakfast room with a range of fitted units, integrated cooking appliances and space for a dining table. The sitting room extends across the rear of the property, with French doors opening onto the enclosed rear garden. There is also a ground-floor cloakroom. On the first floor are two bedrooms, both with built-in cupboards and the family bathroom.

To the front is a further garden with a combination of paved and planted areas, together with the oil tank serving the central heating system. A shared parking area is located to the front of the cottages and is approached via a shared track from Old London Road.
The property benefits from double-glazed windows and oil-fired central heating via a Worcester boiler.

Situation
The property enjoys a rural position between the picturesque village of Nettlebed to the east and the historic market town of Wallingford to the west. Surrounded by open farmland, it is well placed for enjoying the villages, hamlets and countryside of the Chiltern Hills and South Oxfordshire. Wallingford is a historic market town on the River Thames, with Saxon origins, a wealth of period architecture and the remains of Wallingford Castle. The town offers a good range of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. It is conveniently situated approximately 12 miles north of Reading, 13 miles south of Oxford and 11 miles north-west of Henley-on-Thames.
Directions
