5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living around Deansgate Towers is generally very convenient, especially because of the central location. There is a good range of shops, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, so most everyday needs are well covered. There are also some pleasant open spaces nearby, although being in the city centre means there is less greenery than in more residential areas. Transport links are very good, with convenient access to buses, trams and train services, making it easy to get around Manchester and further afield without a car. The downside of the central location is that traffic can be busy at peak times and journeys by car can sometimes be slow. The immediate area is lively and generally pleasant to live in. Parking can be limited and relatively expensive, particularly for visitors. Bin collections are generally manageable, although communal waste areas can occasionally become busy. As with most city-centre locations, there can sometimes be noise from traffic, nightlife and people returning home late at night, especially at weekends. Overall, the convenience, transport links and choice of amenities outweigh the occasional noise and parking issues.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Building management has generally been helpful and responsive when issues have been raised. Most problems are acknowledged quickly and dealt with professionally, although occasionally some maintenance requests can take longer than expected to resolve. Communication is usually clear, and overall the management team makes a reasonable effort to address residents’ concerns.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known how lively and sometimes noisy the surrounding area can be, particularly at weekends and during busy events. It’s one of the trade-offs of such a central location. I’d also recommend checking parking arrangements and any additional building or service charges carefully before moving in. On the positive side, I didn’t fully appreciate just how convenient the location would be for shops, restaurants and public transport until I lived here. Overall, the convenience is a big advantage, but it’s worth being prepared for the usual noise and activity that comes with city-centre living.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area is exceptionally well-serviced and boasts a highly strategic location. There is no shortage of excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. Highly recommended.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I only moved in 3 weeks ago so didn’t get a chance to. However my washing machine wasn’t working and they have quickly fixed it which is excellent
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The only downside is the concierge availability in the North Tower. I would love to see it staffed 24/7; currently, there are times I visit the desk and no one is there. Additionally, calls to the urgent number during these gaps often go unanswered.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The ring road is very loud but it is convenient for travelling to work. Only a walk away from the town centre and a slightly longer but still walkable distance to the train station.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Not yet as I have not lived here long enough but they have been quick to answer my questions
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
My only problem is the expense of the car parking. It is convenient being a car owner but it is a large additional cost for this convenience

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area offers excellent local amenities, with restaurants, markets and a park all within walking distance. Transport links are outstanding, as the train station is very close and the bus stop is right outside. Despite being on a main road, the street is surprisingly calm. Bin collections are regular, parking is manageable, and food delivery services like Uber Eats arrive within minutes thanks to the central location.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The management team has consistently responded to any issues I raised quickly and effectively. When my wife’s earring fell into the shower drain, they came immediately and retrieved it, showing great attention and care. They have also helped us with practical needs such as providing photocopies downstairs whenever required. Additionally, both in summer and winter, they adjusted and optimised the ventilation settings to ensure the flat remained comfortable. Overall, their responsiveness and willingness to assist have been outstanding.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how surprisingly calm the building and the street are despite being in a central location. You don’t fully realise this during a short viewing. The management is also far more responsive than you would expect — they help with small practical things like photocopies and even retrieved an earring from the shower drain. It’s a level of support and convenience you only understand after living here.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The building is situated near the Wellington place office blocks so you are on the doorstep of Sainsburys local, coffee shops and restaurants. Plus, the canal is just behind offering walking routes to cafes and bars on the river.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Promptly and efficiently. Being a new build there has been a couple of snags, however they have responded and fixed them very quickly. They are also great at completing alterations requests.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Views from the apartments are great and parcels are safe in a parcel room.
