Description

We have really loved living in our house for the past 10 years. We have a real sense of community wih our neighbours. It is great to be able to pop to sweetmart and the garden of easton so easily. My favourite part of the house is the cast iron bath. We have put a lot of work into the garden and love the sunken seating area with the cherry arbour.

The home

A characterful two bedroom terrace on Wood Street, in the heart of Easton, painted a striking Wedgwood blue and offering bright, characterful accommodation full of personality throughout.

Entrance is through a central hallway with stairs rising to the first floor. To the front, the living room is a warm, inviting space with a bay window bringing in plenty of natural light, built in shelving and a lovely lived in, homely feel.

To the rear, the kitchen and dining room forms the heart of the home, an open plan space fitted with painted blue cabinetry, oak worktops and open shelving, with French doors leading straight out to the garden. A separate utility room and pantry sit just off the kitchen, offering useful extra storage and space for appliances. There is also a convenient downstairs WC.

Upstairs, there are two well proportioned bedrooms, one to the front currently styled as a home office and creative space, the other a generous double to the rear. The family bathroom completes the floor, finished with a freestanding bath, a separate shower and a window bringing in plenty of light.

The outside space

The rear garden is a wonderfully established, green space with mature planting, climbers and a productive greenhouse. Tucked into the garden is a sunken seating nook, a lovely spot to sit out among the greenery, and there's a real sense of a garden that's been lovingly tended over the years.

Living in Easton

Wood Street sits in the heart of Easton, one of Bristol's most characterful and community-minded neighbourhoods, prized for its distinctive character, independent spirit and strong sense of community. The nearby St Marks Road is a real draw, home to Bristol Sweet Mart, Garden of Easton and East Bristol Bakery, alongside a wealth of other independent cafes, restaurants and shops popular with locals and visitors alike. Also close by are The Greenbank pub, Este Kitchen and Matter Wholefoods.

Greenbank Cemetery offers a peaceful green space right on the doorstep, while the Bristol to Bath Railway Path is just minutes away, ideal for commuting, running or weekend cycling. The area is well connected to the city centre and beyond by bike, road and train, with the M32 and A431 to Bath both easily accessible. Families are well served too, with a good choice of well regarded local schools nearby, along with Easton Leisure Centre and the wider green spaces of Eastville and St George parks close at hand.
