“As my first home it’s been my pride and joy to make it my own. I’ve done so much growing up while here, from starting a ‘proper job’ in the city far away from friends and family. Many cinema trips, deli hauls and cemetery strolls later, my favourite times here have been inviting friends to stay and hearing from them how safe and cosy this place makes them feel, a little escape so close to the city. They always want to come back (the home bar at the end of the garden might be a reason too!)”

The home

A great two bedroom ground floor flat with a good sized rear garden and the added addition of a garden room. The property has a large double bedroom to the front and the living room is placed in the middle of the property open plan to the kitchen which has a breakfast bar with stools. The second bedroom makes a good guest bedroom/study and there is a Jack and Jill bathroom between the two bedrooms.

The outside

The patio garden is a great size with a pergola and the perfect spot for a summer BBQ. The current owner has converted the out building into a very usable garden room with electric.

Living in Brislington

Situated in a lovely pocket of houses in Brislington, this property is within walking distance of several well-regarded shops, pubs and cafes including Kin, Deli at Sandy Park and The Langton. Paintworks is also just a short walk and is home to Miro Lounge and Coffee Club. Hop Union and Lost & Grounded are nationally renowned Bristol breweries with taprooms, both of which are within walking distance. The area is popular with young professionals and families, being both close to the city centre but also accessible to several parks and larger green areas, such as the Nightingale Valley Nature Reserve, Eastwood Farm and St Annes Wood. Arnos Vale Cemetery is just a short walk away and there are fairly extensive footpaths around the River Avon, which wrap around Brislington through some scenic spots, which includes the popular Beese’s Riverside Bar to the east. The area is also home to several good schools, such as Holymead and St Anne's Infants, as well as Out There Forest School and Kindergarten. For commuters, Brislington is well placed, with several buses running through the area, as well as routes for cycling and walking to Bristol City Centre including a traffic free path along the Avon to Bristol Temple Meads.
