Description

FULL OF CHARACTER, POTENTIAL AND BEING SOLD WITH NO UPWARD CHAIN! - A THREE-BEDROOM SEMI-DETACHED TERRACE TOWNHOUSE SITTING RIGHT ON TUTBURY HIGH STREET!

Our Agent Alice Says:

“Sitting right on Tutbury High Street, this is a home with so much potential, with everything the village has to offer quite literally on your doorstep.

The bright entrance hallway leads through to a lovely front reception room overlooking the High Street with a character fireplace. A fantastic room to watch the world go by and makes you realise what a fantastic position the home is in! There’s a further second generously sized reception room to the rear of the home too, followed by a great-sized kitchen where original exposed beams are my favorite part - they bring so much character! There’s also a useful downstairs WC.

Downstairs, the cellar is a brilliant additional space and has previously been set up with its own bar, offering plenty of possibilities for how it could be used.

Upstairs are two good-sized double bedrooms, a well-proportioned single bedroom and the main family bathroom. I Love the space up here. There’s even an extra room that could be used as a further wardrobe space or coat/shoe storage.

To the rear of the property is a long, generous garden with so much potential and plenty of different areas to enjoy. The rich, loamy soil is ideal for anyone with green fingers, whether you fancy growing your own fruit and vegetables, creating colourful flower beds or adding shrubs and planting. The garden can be accessed from the original private walled yard/courtyard, or via the secure gated side entrance, and there is plenty of space to create a patio, add sheds or even a greenhouse. A really lovely garden with endless possibilities to make it your own.

The property does require updating internally, but with its generous rooms, original features, outdoor space and fantastic High Street position, there’s so much here to work with and make your own.”

Our Sellers Thoughts:

“What I would like to say about ‘27’ is that I still consider it to be my home, as strange as that may seem! Although, on 17th September, it will be 38 years to the day since I left — on my wedding day! Many other family occasions were spent there too, happy ones, like parties in the cellar. It had always been an open house to friends, family and neighbours — many different neighbours, as you can imagine, over a span of 60 years! I love what we called the front room, with its perfect view of what’s going on along the High Street. And today, there’s certainly lots going on — shops, bars and restaurants! I’ll always have an anchoring to Tutbury; it always draws me back. I hope someone loves it as much as I always will.”

The Area:

Tutbury is a popular and historic Staffordshire village, offering a great mix of local amenities, countryside and community spirit. The village centre is home to a good selection of shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants and everyday amenities, with regular markets held on the High Street throughout the year. Local events, including the annual Christmas celebrations, add to the friendly community atmosphere. The village is rich in history, with Tutbury Castle overlooking the River Dove, while Tutbury Cricket Ground, its family picnic area, local play areas and surrounding countryside provide plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor activities and family days out. For commuters, Tutbury & Hatton Railway Station is within easy reach and provides convenient rail connections, while the A50 and A38 offer straightforward road links towards Burton upon Trent, Derby, Uttoxeter and the wider Midlands. Families are well catered for with Richard Wakefield CofE Primary Academy and Wulfric Primary School nearby, with The de Ferrers Academy providing secondary education. School catchment areas and admissions should always be confirmed directly with Staffordshire County Council and the relevant schools. With its historic character, excellent amenities, green spaces, transport links and strong sense of community, Tutbury offers a wonderful balance of traditional village life and modern convenience.
