Description
A brand new two bedroom lodge inside the Lake District National Park, with an en-suite to both bedrooms, full-length Crittall-style glazing and a hot tub on its own terrace. Sold fully furnished at £395,000.

The Souther sits within the landscaped grounds at Whitbarrow Village, a short drive from Keswick, with the fells in front and lawns running down from the terrace. The front of the lodge is glass almost end to end, framed in dark timber cladding with cedar detailing.

The layout is the reason to look at this one. The living space sits in the middle, with a bedroom and its own en-suite at each end. For two couples sharing, or a family with older children, that is a better arrangement than a principal suite and a second bedroom sharing the main bathroom, and it is unusual in a lodge of this size.

The kitchen runs along the back wall with an island and stools facing into the room, finished in deep navy shaker cabinetry with integrated Bosch appliances and a boiling water tap. White tongue-and-groove walls, warm wooden floors and deep blue accents throughout.

Outside, the decked terrace runs the length of the front, with a hot tub at one end and a pergola over the dining table at the other. Everything stays, including the Hansgrohe fittings and the Bramblecrest furniture. Built to British Standard 3632, with a ten year structural warranty.

On your doorstep
Whitbarrow Village sits inside the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with Blencathra rising directly ahead and Helvellyn, Fairfield and Dollywaggon Pike beyond.

The resort facilities have all recently been refurbished. The Fellstone is the lounge and restaurant, run by MasterChef finalist Kyle Greenwood, and there is an indoor heated pool with splash pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, a TechnoGym gym, a games room and a cinema. Outside there is a play area, crazy golf, a putting green, a woodland walk and a duck pond. The resort is gated, has 24 hour security and is open 365 days a year. Dogs are welcome.

Beyond the gates, Ullswater and Derwentwater are close for boating and paddleboarding, and Aira Force is a short drive. Keswick is the local town, twelve miles away, with its markets, independent shops, cafes and lakeside. The A66 and M6 are close by, and Penrith mainline station runs direct to London, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Blencathra 6 miles | Ullswater and Aira Force 8 miles | Castlerigg Stone Circle 10 miles | Keswick 12 miles | Helvellyn 14 miles | Grasmere 16 miles | Kirkstone Pass 18 miles | Ambleside 20 miles | Windermere 24 miles
