SELLERS INSIGHT

One of the things we have particularly enjoyed about living at Bramley House is the location. Fivehead gives us all the benefits of village life, yet Taunton is easily accessible for a wider choice of shops, entertainment and its excellent mainline railway service and access to M5 motorway.
The village itself has a great deal to offer. There are plenty of open spaces and countryside walks, which is particularly lovely if you have a dog, while the village shop is extremely useful, well stocked and open for long hours.

The Crown is an excellent village pub serving a wide variety of food, and there is always something going on, from quiz nights and the skittles league to other local events. There is also a bus service into Taunton, with a convenient stop at the top of Ganges Hill.
Fivehead is a quiet village with a very strong sense of community. There is a church and Baptist chapel, both holding regular services, while the village hall and playing field are just a short walk away and form a real hub for village life. They host the annual pantomime, village fete and revue, together with short mat bowls, fitness activities and football most weekends. There is also a golf society, drama society and regular village magazine.

For us, one of the most memorable aspects of Bramley House is the outlook. Its elevated position gives wonderful far-reaching views, and from the balcony off our bedroom you can see for miles across the surrounding countryside. It is a lovely place to sit and appreciate just how peaceful and special the setting is.

What we will remember most is the combination of those views, the tranquillity and the genuine community spirit of Fivehead. It has given us the best of both worlds – peaceful village living with everything we need within easy reach

STEP INSIDE
On the ground floor, the accommodation is thoughtfully arranged to take full advantage of the outlook. The sitting room has windows overlooking the rear gardens and surrounding countryside, while a contemporary clear-glass wood-burning stove creates a cosy focal point for the cooler months.

A separate office/study provides the perfect space to work quietly from home, while the modern kitchen/breakfast room is a particular feature, with double doors and windows opening onto the rear sun terrace and framing the stunning far-reaching views.

The kitchen has underfloor heating and is well equipped with range cooker and fitted fridge and offers ample space for a central dining table and chairs. An adjoining utility room, together with a cloakroom, provides practical everyday space with convenient access to the gardens. A further reception room offers excellent flexibility and could be used as a formal dining room or snug.

On the first floor, the elevated position and countryside setting really come into their own. The principal bedroom enjoys direct access onto a private balcony, providing a wonderful place to sit and appreciate the panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. This bedroom also benefits from fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room, while the remaining bedrooms are served by a well-appointed family bathroom with separate shower.

A five-bar gate opens onto the private driveway, flanked by attractive stone walls and providing generous parking and turning space. There is a double-width carport together with a single garage, while adjoining the garage is a useful, detached home office/studio, ideal for home working, hobbies or additional storage.

The private gardens wrap around Bramley House and enjoy a sunny aspect, offering a good degree of seclusion while making the most of the far-reaching countryside views. Laid predominantly to lawn, the gardens include a sun terrace and patio adjoining the rear of the house, creating an excellent space for outdoor dining and entertaining.

A variety of established trees, shrubs and bushes add colour and maturity throughout the grounds, while a separate enclosed vegetable and fruit garden offering plums, greengages apples along with raised planters will appeal to keen gardeners. A useful garden shed provides additional storage.
