Description
The building has kept a good deal of its original character. An arched, panelled front door with coloured glass opens onto a mosaic-tiled communal entrance hall.
The flat itself has just been refurbished throughout. It has been freshly decorated in soft grey and white, with new carpets to the hall, sitting room and bedroom, wood-effect flooring to the kitchen and bathroom, and a new electric shower. It is double glazed throughout and has modern electric panel heating.
A hallway with a dado rail and a built-in storage cupboard leads to all the rooms. The sitting room is the flat's great strength: a generously proportioned, south-facing room with coving and a wide triple window looking out over the trees towards the town, and it gets the sun for most of the day.
The kitchen has white, fitted units with plenty of cupboard and drawer space, a built-in electric oven and hob, tiled splashbacks and a full-height built-in cupboard for further storage.
The bedroom is a small double, but it has been planned to make the most of the space, with built-in high-level cupboards and shelving so the floor stays clear for the bed. The bathroom is a good size, half tiled in white, with a full-sized panelled bath with the new electric shower over, a pedestal basin, WC and a mirrored cabinet.
There is off-road parking on the shared driveway, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Worthing and West Worthing stations are both around half a mile away, with direct trains to Brighton, Chichester and London Victoria in about an hour and a half. Montague Street and the town centre shops are a ten-minute walk, and the seafront a little beyond that.
