Tucked away on the edge of our Holiday Village, Hassop has been designed to cater for groups of up to 11 people. Boasting three floors, it is simultaneously spacious and cosy; meaning that you can enjoy privacy and company as you wish whilst staying here.
Inside the cottage, the main living area is just down the corridor to the left. Benefiting from peaceful views over the Holiday Village, it is the perfect place for your party to unwind and relax in each other’s company.
Designed as one large, open-plan room, this space includes:
- Comfortable wrap-around sofas and a modern television
- A large wooden dining table and beautiful contemporary kitchen with modern furnishings
Elsewhere on the ground floor, there is also a modern, comfortable twin room and a separate shower room with W/C. All beds in the property can be setup as either kingsize or twin beds, apart from the three singles.
Heading up to the first floor, you’ll be immediately struck by the generously-sized family bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a large double with a standard ensuite and a cozy single room.
On the top floor there is another large family bedroom with ensuite. As with all the bedrooms throughout the cottage, this comes with plenty of storage space and features modern furnishings. A secret hidden gem of a holiday cottage within the renowned Peak District, Derbyshire. The appealing Hassop cottage sits between Hopton and Hartington cottages, forming one part of the largest block of cottages at Darwin Lake. It enjoys prime positioning on the edge of our Holiday Village, with both Darwin Lake and our reception building right on the doorstep.
Darwin Lake is a private village with 20 acres of grounds you are free to enjoy with woodland and lakeside walks and green areas for outdoor activities and picnics. We have a fire pit quite close to the property and campfire area in the woods.

Nearby there are all the attractions of the Peak District and National Park.

All accommodation is fully furnished and equipped for a comfortable stay. Please note that electricity is not included in the advertised prices and is charged separately based on usage. A refundable security bond may also be required. Weekly clean and/or linen changes are available at an additional cost. Please note that stays are available for a maximum of 28 days or less, or more if with a Corporate entity. Other arrangements may be possible also – eg longer stays.
