5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is one of the biggest advantages. There are lovely river walks, parks and open spaces nearby, while shops and amenities are also easy to reach. The DLR is right on your doorstep, with direct routes to Bank and Stratford International, and you can also go towards Woolwich Arsenal, which is less than 10 minutes away and has plenty of shops. Custom House gives you access to the Elizabeth line, making journeys even easier. Beckton Gallions Reach and Asda are around a 7-minute drive, with Beckton Retail Park less than 10 minutes away. There are schools, colleges, universities, GP surgeries and a hospital all within easy reach. There’s also a large Tesco coming, along with lots of new developments, restaurants and businesses. The area is constantly growing, so there’s always something new to discover.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I’ve always found the building management team really helpful. Whenever I’ve had something to raise, I’ve been able to speak to someone and get it sorted. They’re friendly, easy to approach and always willing to help.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I’d known how much there actually is to discover around the area. There are food vans on different days with different cuisines, so there are always plenty of options to try. I’ve even found a dessert shop that I never knew was there! There are loads of cafés too, and some are quite hidden, so you really have to explore the area to find them. There are also lots of community events, activities and things for families to get involved in. It’s definitely worth getting out and exploring because there’s more here than you might realise at first.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I really like the location. You have the river and lovely walks and parks nearby, but you’re also close to everything. ExCeL London is literally down the road, Beckton Retail Park is about a 10-minute drive and Stratford Westfield is around 15 minutes on the DLR. Having the DLR right outside is probably the biggest bonus — you can go straight into Bank, and Custom House gives you the Elizabeth line too. There are schools, a GP, Sainsbury’s Local and other shops nearby, with Tesco coming soon. There are also lots of restaurants, local events and things happening for families. I’ve been here three years and it’s been nice watching the area grow and develop.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The team have always been helpful and approachable when I’ve raised any issues. They listen, respond and do their best to get things sorted. I also like that they are always looking at ways to improve the service for residents.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known just how much there is going on in the local community. There are plenty of planned activities and events, as well as lots of hidden cafés and little places to explore. Britannia Village Hall also offers activities such as dancing, singing and after-school clubs. There’s always something to discover and get involved in, especially for families.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about living here is the location. There’s a really nice balance between having everything you need close by while still having plenty of green and open spaces. The river walks and parks are lovely, especially in the warmer months, and there are plenty of places to walk, relax and spend time with the family. New restaurants and businesses seem to be opening regularly, which has really brought more life to the area. The DLR being practically on the doorstep is a huge advantage and makes getting around so much easier. There are local shops and a Sainsbury’s nearby, Morrisons is also not far away, and with Tesco due to open, the area will become even more convenient. There are also regular community events and activities, particularly during the summer, which create a lovely atmosphere. I’ve lived here for three years and it’s been great watching the area grow and develop.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Whenever I have raised an issue, the building management team has been approachable and responsive. They take residents’ concerns seriously and make an effort to resolve problems and keep residents informed. I’ve also noticed that they are continually looking at ways to improve the service.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known when I first moved in was how useful the local Facebook and WhatsApp groups are. They’re a great way to connect with the wider local community, find out what’s happening in the area and keep up to date with local events, activities and things for families to get involved in. There are often events happening throughout the year, particularly during the summer, that you may not hear about otherwise. I’d definitely recommend joining the local groups when you move in, as they’re a great way to discover what the area has to offer and become part of the wider community.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area is a fantastic place to live and is clearly an area that is going from strength to strength. Thames Barrier Park is a particular highlight, with beautiful riverside walks, plenty of green open space and exercise equipment available throughout the parks, making it ideal for families, walking and staying active. GP surgeries, schools and everyday amenities are all within walking distance, which makes day-to-day life extremely convenient. London City Airport is also nearby, which is a huge advantage for anyone who travels. Transport links are excellent, with the DLR providing easy connections to surrounding areas and central London. Newham Council has invested significantly in the area, and you can really see the ongoing improvements and development. It has a modern, up-and-coming feel while still offering beautiful open spaces and peaceful riverside walks.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The current building management team is very responsive and approachable. When an issue is raised, they are quick to listen, help and arrange for it to be resolved. Even with smaller problems, they never make you feel like you are bothering them and will always try their best to help. Their willingness to go above and beyond is one of the things I value most about living here.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known just how much the development would have to offer. When you first view an apartment, you don’t always appreciate the value of having facilities such as an onsite gym, cinema room, residents’ dining room, Renz Box and 24-hour security. The location is also better than you might initially realise, with Thames Barrier Park, schools, GP services, transport links and London City Airport all within easy reach. Having lived here for 6 years, I have really appreciated the convenience and sense of security that comes with living here. One piece of advice I would give a new resident is to make the most of the facilities and get to know the onsite team — they genuinely go above and beyond for residents.
