Description
IMAGINE SATURDAY HERE
Start slowly — coffee in the bright living room while the morning light comes through from the east.
Breakfast without the rush — the separate dining room gives you somewhere to sit down properly, rather than balancing breakfast at the kitchen worktop.
Open the garden up — with direct access from the dining room, take lunch outside and let the house naturally flow into the garden.
Head for the forest — swap the car for walking boots or bikes and make the most of nearby Swinley Forest, with miles of woodland and trails to explore.
Everything you need is close — the local Tesco is an easy walk away, making those forgotten ingredients or weekend essentials wonderfully simple.
Meet friends in London? — walk to Martins Heron and let the train do the work. Services run towards both London Waterloo and Reading.
Back home, slow down — settle into the living room, let the children have their own space upstairs and enjoy having a home that works around everyday family life.
Evenings feel easy here — dinner in the garden, drinks with friends and that feeling that everything you need is right where you want it.
This is the luxury of location — countryside, commuting, shopping and home life all sitting comfortably alongside each other.
THE OWNERS' INSIGHT
Its proximity to all amenities, large shopping store and a wealth of forest walks within a few hundred metres from our home.
Close proximity to Martins Heron station without having to walk far or search for a parking spot and easy access to both London, Bracknell and Reading, ideal for commuting and shopping.
Sunny front elevation allowing the sun to filter into the lounge for most of the day. This aspect has also enabled us to gain full benefit from our solar installation which in Summer facilitates substantial savings. We had a wood burner installed a few years ago which makes winter nights cosy, warming the entire house and reducing heating costs. The house is well insulated and can be cool in the summer as well as energy efficient in the winter months.
The rear garden is not overlooked allowing privacy. We have created a Mediterranean feel to the rear garden with a brick built summer house which becomes a lovely spot to retreat to and relax with a book and glass of wine in the summer evenings.
The security of being in a cul-de-sac with no real through traffic. It is a fantastic spot to bring up a family with a playground around the corner and Savernake Park within a short walking distance.
WHY HARWOODS LOVE IT
It's the location that really gets us. Martins Heron is one of those areas where everyday convenience and green space come together beautifully.
Swinley Forest is a huge lifestyle advantage. Having such an extensive woodland setting nearby gives you somewhere to walk, run, cycle and escape to whenever you want.
The station makes commuting simple. Martins Heron provides direct services towards London Waterloo and Reading, making this particularly appealing for commuters.
And then there's Tesco. Tesco Superstore being within walking distance might not sound glamorous, but it is one of those things you appreciate every single week.
The Solar Panels. This makes the home super energy efficient. A huge bonus with current energy prices!
The garage is another big tick. Somewhere for the car, bikes, tools, storage and all the things that come with family life.
The separate dining room is a lovely touch. It gives the house a more traditional feel and creates a proper space for family meals, entertaining and occasions.
It feels like a home designed for real life. Three bedrooms, two reception spaces, a garage and garden access give you the flexibility to grow into it, work from home or simply enjoy having enough space around you.
And that's why we think this one is special. It's not trying to be something it isn't. It's a genuinely comfortable family home in a location where the lifestyle does a lot of the selling for you.
