Description

This unique detached bungalow is situated towards the top of Felton Street with access to the beautiful Common just a moment's walk away. Having been in our current owners family for multiple generations this interesting single level home is coming to the market for the first time ever.

Approaching the property there is a private gated driveway to the side of the house with a further off street parking space to the front. Just a few shallow steps rise to the front door of the property with a pedestrian pathway leading around the house on either side. Entering into the hallway there is a door to the right leading to a separate WC and a second door that takes you into the bathroom, which has a white suite with a shower over the bath and pedestal wash hand basin. To the left of the hallway a door leads you into a good sized kitchen with a window looking out to the front and a range of fitted wall and base units.

The sitting room features a stone fireplace and dual aspect windows with a door leading to the original lobby and front door. The dining room is accessed to the rear of the kitchen and is a great space to congregate at meal times but it could equally be utilised as a home office or play room for children. Completing the accommodation are two double bedrooms that sit away from the living space; both have plenty of space for double bed and bedroom furniture, with the second bedroom also benefitting from dual aspect windows.

Outside, there are several areas to sit and enjoy the setting, including a fantastic elevated terrace which enjoys excellent privacy and is the perfect space for barbecues and entertaining friends and family.

What we love about this property... This quirky two bedroom bungalow offers excellent potential and although requiring updating presents a perfect opportunity for buyers to put their own stamp on what is a well positioned home for those who enjoy the great outdoors and village life.

Bristol International Airport is also within easy reach with its scheduled and low cost airlines. The Chew Valley is well known for its beauty with the glorious countryside, and the lakes noted for their wildlife, walking and recreational facilities. The Cathedral City of Wells and Georgian Bath are also within reach and there are private schools at Bristol, Wells and Wraxall.

Welcome to Debbie Fortune Estate Agents

Debbie Fortune Estate Agents are more than just estate agents — we’re your neighbours, your advocates, and your trusted guide through every step of your property journey. Independent, experienced, and rooted in the community — welcome to estate agency, the way it used to be.

We do things differently — not louder, not faster, just better. We’re a proudly independent agency covering a wide area over North Somerset and Somerset, including the Wrington Vale, the Yeo Valley, Chew Valley and The Mendips. Our friendly team blends decades of local knowledge with a tailored, personal service you simply won’t find with the corporates or online non-High Street agencies.

Property Sales

Every home we represent is treated with the care and attention it deserves — no generic templates, no faceless call centres, just real people offering real advice. We believe estate agency should be built on trust, not targets. Whether you're selling or buying , we're here to guide you with honesty, warmth and sharp local insight — from the first call to the final handshake.

Mortgages

Our recommended mortgage advisors help our sellers and buyers find the right mortgage product for their needs.

Land & New Homes

Handling the sale of all types of new homes from one-off plots to large developments, our service includes land finding, advice on development values, buying trends, bespoke marketing and investment.

Social Responsibility

Community isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something we actively support. For 2026, we have pledged to donate a percentage of every house sale to Weston Hospicecare with a minimum target of £10,000. It’s a charity that means a great deal to us and our local community, and every instruction we receive contributes towards that goal. We are proud to stand alongside them and help ensure their vital work can continue.
