Description
BRICKWORKS SAYS
Set within a corner plot, surrounded by mature trees and planting, this spacious one-bedroom flat occupies the second floor of an attractive Victorian semi-detached house. Red brick, steep gables, decorative timbering and pargetting give the building plenty of Arts and Crafts character; even the shared hallway retains its intricate original tilework. There’s a real sense of history here, and of a house that belongs exactly where it stands.
Upstairs, the flat takes a more modern approach, using colour to accentuate the interior architecture, while built-in storage keeps things streamlined. The rooms branch off the hallway, with a generous reception and a kitchen tucked to the side. The bedroom makes every inch count, with bespoke wardrobes and recessed shelving for uncluttered calm.
Crouch End has that rare urban-village feel. Beam, The Haberdashery and Les 2 Garçons are neighbourhood favourites, while Alexandra Park and Highgate Wood provide plenty of escape from the city. For getting around, Hornsey and Alexandra Palace stations are both within walking distance, with frequent trains into central London, while a good bus network fills in the gaps.
THE OWNERS SAY
We have loved living here for the past seven years. The flat is wonderfully bright, with large windows throughout and beautiful views towards Alexandra Palace from the bedroom. Being on the top floor makes it feel particularly peaceful, while the combination of nearby green spaces, excellent local amenities and convenient transport links has made it a fantastic place to call home. We'll be sad to leave and hope the next owners enjoy it as much as we have.
