San Cayetano isn't a beachfront location, but it is well positioned for the Mar Menor beaches. You can reach the coastal resorts around Los Alcázares, Santiago de la Ribera, San Javier and Los Narejos easily by car (10 min drive).
The main attraction is that you get a quieter, more authentic Spanish environment while remaining reasonably close to the coast and larger towns.
The Mar Menor beaches can be reached within a 10-15 minute drive and the new International Murcia Airport can also be reached within 20 minutes. The City of Murcia is 25 mins away as is a large waterpark.
