Sellers view-
We've absolutely loved living in Littlecote Drive and, before moving here, we actually lived at No. 2 in the same close. We loved the road and the community so much that when the opportunity arose to buy a larger home here, we didn't hesitate.

The close has a real sense of community, with friendly neighbours and a safe, well-maintained cul-de-sac where children can play and families feel at home. It's also ideally located within walking distance of Reading town centre and the station, making it perfect for both family life and commuting. Having an outstanding nursery just around the corner was another huge benefit for us while our children were young.

We've thoughtfully extended and refurbished the house to create a bright, light-filled, open-plan kitchen and dining space that has become the heart of our home. It's been perfect for everyday family life, entertaining friends and family, and giving our children plenty of room to spend time with their friends. Combined with the generous garden, it's a fantastic space that has created many happy memories for us.

Kiel's view-
Some homes simply feel right the moment you walk through the front door. This is one of them.

I'm Kiel Holder, your local independent estate agent, and homes like this are exactly why I love what I do.

Positioned at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on Littlecote Drive, this beautifully extended 1930s bay-fronted semi-detached home offers everything a growing family could ask for. Combining timeless character with thoughtful modern upgrades, it's the kind of home buyers move into and happily stay in for the next ten or fifteen years.

The current owners have invested significantly in creating a home that balances style, practicality and family life. During 2020/21 they completed the garage conversion, creating valuable additional living space, whilst a substantial rear extension has transformed the back of the home into an impressive open plan kitchen and dining space that naturally becomes the heart of everyday life.

Whether it's family breakfasts before school, entertaining friends on a Saturday evening or simply everyone coming together at the end of the day, this space has been designed to bring people together. One of the three reception rooms flows directly from this space, giving flexibility to either extend the entertaining area or create a cosy snug, playroom or TV room.

Unlike many modern homes that prioritise open plan living at the expense of quiet space, this property offers the best of both worlds. Three reception rooms mean everyone can enjoy their own space when needed—whether that's homework after school, working from home, cosy movie nights or simply somewhere peaceful to relax.

Practicality has clearly been considered too, with a separate utility room, downstairs cloakroom and the converted garage providing excellent flexibility for modern family living.

Upstairs you'll find three generous double bedrooms alongside a fourth bedroom currently arranged as a home office. Equally suited as a nursery, dressing room or guest bedroom, it gives buyers the flexibility to adapt the space as family life changes with further scope to extend into the loft (STPP) should you wish to.

The family bathroom and separate shower room were beautifully refurbished in 2023, along with much of the home's interior, meaning buyers can simply unpack and enjoy without the expense or disruption of renovation.

Throughout the property you'll notice the character that makes 1930s homes so sought after—high ceilings, elegant bay windows and proportions rarely found in newer homes. The décor complements the era perfectly, blending contemporary finishes with period charm to create a home that's both stylish and welcoming.

Outside, the advantages continue. Being positioned at the end of the cul-de-sac means the rear garden widens significantly, creating an impressive outdoor space that's perfect for children to explore, summer entertaining or simply relaxing after a busy week. Driveway parking completes the package.

If you've been searching for a forever family home that offers character without compromise, space without sacrificing style, and a location that continues to grow in popularity, I know you'll fall in love with this home from the moment you step inside.

Area view-
Littlecote Drive is perfectly positioned for families wanting a peaceful residential setting whilst remaining incredibly well connected.
Just a short stroll away is Prospect Park, one of Reading's most popular green spaces. Whether you're enjoying a morning run, taking the children to the playground, meeting friends for coffee at the café or simply walking the dog, it's a fantastic extension of your back garden all year round.

Central Reading railway station is also within easy reach (2 miles), providing convenient services into Reading town centre in minutes. From Reading Station, the Elizabeth Line offers direct connections into Central London, Canary Wharf and beyond, making commuting or weekend trips into the capital refreshingly straightforward.

Families are particularly drawn to this part of Reading thanks to the excellent choice of well regarded primary and secondary schools nearby, helping make the school run simple while supporting children throughout their education.

Day-to-day life couldn't be more convenient either, with supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, leisure facilities and regular bus routes all close by. Reading town centre, The Oracle, restaurants and entertainment are only a short drive or cycle away, while excellent road links provide easy access to the M4 and surrounding Berkshire villages. Public transport is incredibly convenient and close by too so a quick trip to town doesn't require much strategy.

It's a location that offers the perfect balance—quiet enough to enjoy family life, connected enough for commuting and close enough to the town centre to benefit from Reading's continued investment and long-term growth.

A Local Favourite – Prospect Park-
One of the biggest lifestyle benefits of living here is having Prospect Park just a short walk away. Whether it's an early morning run before work, a weekend stroll with the dog or an afternoon spent with the children, it's a place you'll find yourself returning to time and time again.

The park offers wide open green spaces, tree-lined walking routes and plenty of room for children to burn off energy, alongside a fantastic adventure playground, tennis courts, football pitches and outdoor fitness facilities. It's equally popular with runners, dog walkers and families throughout the year.

After a walk or workout, stop by the park café, Hey Coffee (which I've visited a number of times), breakfast or light lunch while the children play nearby. It's one of those everyday luxuries that quickly becomes part of your routine and a big reason why so many families choose to call this part of Reading home.
