Description

A home that raised one family, and is ready to raise another.

Set in the heart of Wollaston, this two bedroom, first floor maisonette has been loved by the same family for years, and it shows in the warmth of the place. Inside you'll find a genuinely substantial lounge, two well proportioned double bedrooms, and a versatile rear garden. Close to well regarded schools, green spaces, and easy links into Stourbridge and beyond, this is a home with real roots.

*We asked them what made them buy it...*

"Sentimentality, really. I was so happy growing up here that I wanted to continue that and make it my own home. It's such a versatile space with loads of room, the rooms are big and bright, and our kids have loads of space in the garden too. All our neighbours are friendly and mostly families, there's a lovely school and park really close by, and St James' Primary is a brilliant school. We're very close to the train station, and access to the motorway is just through Stourbridge. And Katie Fitzgerald's in Wollaston is an amazing venue that regularly hosts comedy and music nights."

*What about the house itself?*

"We spend most of our time in the lounge. It's big and gives us loads of room to chill and the kids to play. Our son plays in the large area of grass in the garden, and we used to have a dog who loved the space too. We've recently renovated the kitchen with Wren. The size of the lounge is the thing that always gets a reaction from guests. And in the evening, the sunset makes the rooms glow so prettily. My son loves seeing the moon through the lounge windows. It's our first home with our family and it has served us so well. If it weren't for wanting a room for our boy and girl each, we would happily stay."

*Our agents say...*

The lounge really is the star of the show. Flooded with light from two windows and warmed by a gas fireplace, it's the sort of space that sells a home before you've even seen the rest of it. Both bedrooms are generously sized, offering far more versatility than you'd expect from a maisonette. And the garden, with its laid lawn and paved patio, gives you proper outdoor space to enjoy, whether that's summer afternoons on the patio or the kids making the most of the lawn. Storage is well thought out too, with loft space and external sheds meaning there's a home for everything. This is a young family's dream, but it would suit a couple wanting extra space just as well, and with the horse fields and canal only a short walk away, it's perfect for calm evening walks or the odd early morning run. Get in touch today and come and see it for yourself.
