***WATCH THE VIDEO TOUR***NO ONWARD CHAIN***

A truly distinctive five-bedroom period detached family home, Station House occupies an idyllic and private position approached via a quiet country lane in the sought-after village of Great Wishford. Set amidst beautiful surrounding countryside, this charming and individual home combines considerable character with generous and versatile accommodation, an impressive approach and exceptional outdoor space.

Offered for sale with no onward chain, the property is approached via a sweeping driveway and double timber entrance gates, creating an impressive arrival. The attractive frontage, detached garage and distinctive painted train motif to the side of the house add to the property's considerable character and kerb appeal. Surrounded by the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, the setting is private and wonderfully picturesque.

The property is entered from the rear into a generous dining room which forms the heart of the ground floor. A bright dual-aspect room, it provides ample space for both formal dining and entertaining and benefits from high ceilings and a wealth of original timber doors, immediately conveying the period character of the house. The dining room provides access to the principal ground-floor rooms.

The living room is a beautifully proportioned reception room and a particularly appealing space within the home. A sunny extension overlooks the garden and swimming pool and features an abundance of windows and a door opening directly onto the garden. An open fireplace provides an attractive focal point, while the outlook and generous proportions make this an ideal space for family relaxation and entertaining.

Also situated on the ground floor is a useful bedroom, providing excellent flexibility for family members, guests or those seeking single-level accommodation. The room benefits from built-in storage, a window overlooking the side aspect and its own en-suite shower room and WC. The kitchen is positioned towards the front of the house and enjoys a wonderful triple aspect, providing an abundance of natural light and attractive views. A door gives access to the garden, while a range of storage cupboards and space for appliances provide a practical foundation with scope for further enhancement.

The first floor provides four further bedrooms and the family bathroom. The principal bedroom is a generous double room positioned towards the rear of the property and enjoys a glorious outlook over the surrounding countryside. Fitted wardrobes provide useful storage. Bedroom two is another well-proportioned room, enjoying a dual aspect to the side and rear with attractive countryside views. The room also benefits from a wash hand basin and fitted cupboard. Bedroom three is positioned towards the front of the house and enjoys dual-aspect windows, together with a wash hand basin.

Bedroom four is currently arranged as a single bedroom or study and benefits from a side-aspect window, providing useful flexibility depending upon the purchaser's requirements. The first-floor landing benefits from a side-aspect window, storage cupboard and airing cupboard. A further staircase rises to the loft room, which has a window overlooking the front of the property and offers considerable potential for conversion into additional accommodation, subject to the necessary planning permissions and consents.

Outside, the gardens are a particularly special feature of Station House and provide a wonderful degree of privacy. The principal rear garden is centred around a large swimming pool, which is fully enclosed and surrounded by an extensive patio area, creating an exceptional setting for summer entertaining and family enjoyment. Mature planting established trees and boundary fencing provide a secluded and private atmosphere, with the garden offering a wonderful connection to the surrounding countryside. A further side garden is predominantly laid to lawn and is fully enclosed and exceptionally private. A shed and greenhouse provide useful storage and facilities for keen gardeners.

Station House is a truly individual home with an abundance of character, excellent proportions and considerable potential. The combination of its peaceful country-lane setting, far-reaching countryside views, generous accommodation, private gardens and swimming pool makes this a particularly rare opportunity to acquire a substantial period home in an idyllic Wiltshire village.

About Oliver Chandler, Salisbury

62 Castle Street, Salisbury, SP1 3TS

A property team built on firm foundations

Jamie and Faye launched Oliver Chandler in January 2018. But, as one of Salisbury's newest estate agents, they've already become one of its most successful.

However, their story together goes back much further than that!

Collectively, they have more than a couple of decades of property sales and property lettings experience around Salisbury between them to offer you. All of which is built on unrivalled local knowledge.

Faye grew up in the New Forest just to the south of Salisbury, while Jamie's family moved to the area when he was 13 years old. They grew up in the same village and became firm friends while attending secondary school in Fordingbridge

The best of rivals

From a standing start in 2006, Jamie then developed a successful career in property sales in Salisbury, working for some of the city's leading estate agents.

Faye began her career in the same year but focused on property lettings. She spent time in London and Salisbury, rising to be area manager with one estate agent and lettings director of another. During this time Faye became Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) qualified.

In fact, for many years Faye and Jamie worked directly opposite each other, for competing Salisbury estate agents. But, having often talked about joining forces and starting their own agency, and with their 40th birthdays looming, they finally took the plunge. In January 2018 they launched Oliver Chandler to specialise in property for sale and property for rent in Salisbury and the surrounding area.

Integrity and innovation

In a competitive market it's difficult to differentiate between estate agents. However, what sets Oliver Chandler apart is their belief in combining old-fashioned quality, service and value with new technologies to rapidly match the right property for sale or rent with the right people, for the right price.

Their reputation is such that most of their early growth has come almost exclusively through recommendation and referral.
