Description
Set on a quiet corner plot in Halesowen, this spacious semi-detached family home offers far more than first impressions may suggest. With two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, a family bathroom and a contemporary ground floor shower room, there is real flexibility here for growing families, downsizers, or anyone wanting a bedroom and bathroom within easy reach on the ground floor. Add a substantial dining room, a versatile second reception room, off street parking for multiple cars and a low maintenance garden, and it is easy to see why this one has been so loved.
We asked them what made them buy it...
"It felt like home straight away, such a nice quiet road. When we walked in, it felt very spacious, plenty of room for a family to grow in. It was the corner plot with the large driveway that really sold it, so many places to park, and it felt like we were getting more for our money. The house was so much more spacious than others we'd looked at for the same price.
"The neighbours are lovely too, really welcoming. They'll take your bins in, take a parcel for you, that sort of thing. The Swan is a lovely local pub full of friendly people, and there are shops and cafes within walking distance. Our children go to the local primary school right at the top of the road, and that was a big part of why we bought here. We're close to the M5 as well, so getting around has never been a problem."
What about the house itself?
"The dining room is where we spend most of our time, it's spacious enough for eating in and relaxing in front of the TV. We converted the garage into a proper room years ago, it was my mum and dad's space for a while when they lived with us, and once they moved out it became a playroom for the kids. It would make a brilliant home office or a fourth bedroom for the next family.
"We've put in a new kitchen and new upstairs bathroom in over the years, and the large wet room at the back always gets a comment from visitors, it's so handy for families or anyone with pets. We astro turfed the garden recently to keep it low maintenance, life is busy with the kids, but there's still plenty of room out there for furniture and relaxing. On a summer evening, the sun sets right on that side of the house and it's a lovely spot to sit."
Our agents say...
This is a home that has genuinely worked hard for one family, and it is ready to do the same for the next. The dining room with its double French doors onto the patio is a proper hub, the kind of space that pulls a family together, and the converted garage is a rare bonus, equally at home as a playroom, or an office. The ground floor shower room adds real flexibility that is hard to find in a home this size, and with off street parking for multiple vehicles, a garden built for easy living, with a primary school and the M5 both close by, this is a home that ticks the boxes that actually matter. Homes like this, ones that have been properly lived in and properly loved, do not come along often. Get in touch and we will show you round.
