Description

Apples, plum, damson, greengage and pear - they're all here at this individual detached village house. Sitting at the heart of the village this super home offers tremendous living space both inside and out. Beautifully kept, the interior offers 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, excellent storage along with a roomy ground floor.

Fentwell House is an individual detached village house with great access and parking along with a first class, cut above interior. The particularly well laid out interior is arranged off an inviting central hallway serving two lovely sized reception rooms along with a social kitchen dining space in which the current owners even enjoy the use of a sofa. The first floor is equally well laid out and roomy and includes unusually good built in storage. Decoration, fittings and all round finish is very good indeed and key spaces such as the kitchen and bathrooms are of the highest standard. The traditional look of the house albeit only about 15 years old, echoes cottage styling with three dormer windows across the top along with what is known as a 'cats slide' roof detail to one side, something often found in period cottages in the area. Furthermore, sash type windows show off the front of the house with more traditional cottage casement style windows elsewhere. Likewise, with heat and efficiency in mind, radiator heating throughout is fired via LPG which, rather than being from an above ground cylindrical tank, gas storage has been set below ground out of the way.

Location

Occold lies approximately 2 miles from Eye and as it sits off the B1077, has relatively little traffic passing through. The active community makes this an ideal location to enjoy traditional village life and for all ages. Whether retired, working with or without children, Occold has appealed to all over the years and continues to do so. It supports a village Primary School, pub, Village Hall/Community Centre, Parish Church and Chapel along with bus routes regularly passing through. Eye provides everyday facilities along with High Schooling and Sixth Form. The town also serves the area with a comprehensive range of shops catering for most everyday needs including two supermarkets, Post Office, butchers, bakers, hardware, health centre etc. The village is also well located within the area being nicely central for those needing to travel east towards Framlingham and the coast, south to Ipswich and Debenham or north and east towards Norwich and Bury St Edmunds.

Direction

Occold is easily found by turning off the B1077 into the village along a 20mph section of road into the centre by the Primary School and Beaconsfield Public House. Fentwell House will be found immediately past the pub on the right by the entrance to the Village Hall found at the rear.
