Description
Tucked away in Brierley Hill, this modern three-bedroom detached home manages something rare: real peace and quiet, with Merry Hill, Russells Hall and a string of bus routes right on the doorstep. It's still covered by the remainder of its NHBC warranty, it's efficient enough that the heating barely comes on, and it's set up for modern life with an EV charger, fibre broadband and a driveway with room for several cars. Add a lounge that stops guests in their tracks and a garden made for family time, and you have a home that's ready to go from day one.
We asked them what made them buy it...
"Honestly, we bought it without even seeing it. We trusted the builders, and they made this beautiful place for us. Walking in for the first time was such an achievement, stepping into our very own home. It was minimalist and beautiful. Russells Hall being just a walk away was the reason we moved here. We didn't think about kids back then! The area is quiet in the midst of the hustle and bustle. Getting around is super easy. There are at least five bus stops within a few minutes' walk, and train stations are an 8 to 10 minute drive. Merry Hill is close by, and we love it there. David Lloyd is just down the road too. I love the place, with lots of tennis courts and swimming pools. It really is surprisingly quiet most of the time."
What about the house itself?
"The living room is where we spend most of our time. It's super spacious and functional, big enough for all of us, and it's the first thing guests comment on when they visit. We've never stopped loving the storage either. It's massive. Because it's a new build, it was perfect and didn't need much doing. We've done the garden and turned the front lawn into a low maintenance space because of our busy lives. Out the back, we love to play basketball and eat in the garden. Our garden is extra special. The EPC is great, so the temperature is right all year round and you barely need to turn the heating on. It's our first home, our own safe place. I would miss everything. Who is it perfect for? A young family, definitely."
Our agents say...
Start with the lounge. It's properly generous, with room for more than one sofa, your favourite freestanding pieces and still space to breathe. Film nights, family gatherings, kids sprawled across the floor with a board game. It handles all of it. Just off the hallway, the ground floor WC sits beside a huge understairs cupboard, and together they give you instant flexibility for coats, shoes, the hoover and everything else that usually ends up in a pile by the front door.
The kitchen is a cook's dream, with plenty of counter space and integrated appliances, and double French doors open straight onto the patio. Summer dinners outside? Easy. There's a well kept lawn for the basketball hoop or a kickabout, a second patio for evening drinks in the last of the sun, and handy storage space along the side of the house.
Upstairs, three well sized bedrooms, an en-suite shower room and a modern family bathroom make this a brilliant fit for a growing family. Downsizers will love it too, with a low maintenance frontage and very little to do but move in and enjoy it. With remaining NHBC warranty, low running costs and multiple parking spaces, this is a home ready for everything life throws at it.
