This lovely conversion has been more than just a home. I’ve really loved living here and, over the years, this flat has truly become a home for me. When I first bought it, I completely gutted the property and put a huge amount of time, thought and love into making it my own. I wanted to create a space that worked perfectly for me, so I fitted a brand new kitchen and bathroom and carefully considered how to make the most of every part of the flat.

One of the things I particularly love is the combination of the high ceilings and generous living and dining room. It’s such a bright and welcoming space, with plenty of room to relax and entertain, and I love how naturally it flows through to the kitchen. The clever storage has also made such a difference to everyday living, keeping everything feeling calm and uncluttered.

The underfloor heating in the lounge and kitchen is another feature I’ve really appreciated. There’s nothing quite like coming home to a warm, cosy floor, especially during the winter months, and it has made the flat feel wonderfully comfortable all year round.

The garden has been another real highlight for me. Having my own private outdoor space is something I’ve never taken for granted, and it has been lovely to have somewhere peaceful to sit, entertain in and enjoy during the warmer months. The summer house is an added bonus and though I’ve not used it in a while, it has been incredibly useful as a flexible extra space when I needed it, and the rear access is really convenient too which leads to the road which has generous, free on road parking.

One of the things I’ve always loved most about living here is just how peaceful and quiet it feels. Being just over the hill from Crystal Palace means I’ve always felt like I get the best of both worlds — somewhere calm and relaxing to come home to, while still being really well placed for getting around London. It has made travelling into different parts of the city incredibly easy and convenient.

I’ve also been very lucky with my immediate neighbours. They’re friendly, considerate and genuinely lovely people, and those little acts of kindness — collecting my post or parcels and checking in on me — have made living here feel even more like being part of a community.

As much as I love this flat, I feel that it’s now time for me to move on and start my next chapter. I’ve put a lot of love into creating this home and I really hope the next person who lives here loves it as much as I have and am sure will appreciate the 999 year lease, no service charges and only £75.00 ground rent which is a huge blessing! I am confident the new buyers will enjoy the peace, the light, the garden and all the little things that have made this place so special to me over the years.
