“This was the first home I ever bought, and I still remember what made me choose it. I had viewed other flats, but this one immediately felt different, modern, spacious and somewhere I could genuinely picture myself living.

The main bedroom was one of the things that really stood out. It’s a generous room, with plenty of space around the furniture, and the en-suite has always reminded me a little of a hotel bathroom. The second bedroom has been just as useful in a different way; I’ve used it both as a guest room and as a home office, and it has a large built-in wardrobe as well as doors opening directly onto the courtyard.

The courtyard is probably one of my favourite things about the flat. It’s private, enclosed and much more substantial than a typical balcony. I love being able to sit outside with a coffee in the morning, but there’s also enough room to have friends over for drinks, so it feels like a genuine extension of the living space.

The flat is lovely throughout the year too. In winter it feels really cosy, while in summer it stays naturally cool ,which during a heatwave is honestly one of my favourite hidden advantages!

It’s also been an incredibly easy home to live in. The kitchen is modern with integrated appliances, the flat has recently been redecorated and new carpet laid, and I chose light, neutral colours so it feels fresh while still giving the next owner a blank canvas to make their own.

Having allocated gated parking has been a huge plus too. Like most town and city centres, parking has become such a premium, so knowing I have my own space is something I really value. The gated entrance, intercom and lighting have also always made me feel comfortable coming home later in the evening.

The location has been brilliant. There’s a park directly opposite, the town centre and station are both an easy walk away, and it’s really convenient for the motorway and getting into London.

There’s also a lovely sense of community in the building. It’s quiet and everyone has their own privacy, but people are friendly and look out for one another. We have an optional residents’ WhatsApp group, and neighbours are often happy to help with little things, even offering spare parking spaces when somebody has visitors.

I’ve taken a lot of pride in this home and have made some really happy memories here. I’m ready for my next chapter now, but I’ll genuinely be sad to leave.

For me, what makes it special is the combination of space, private outdoor living, parking, a peaceful setting and such a convenient location. More than anything, though, it has simply been a really lovely place to call home.”
