Description

A superb contemporary house with far reaching views in a tucked away setting

Description

Fox House occupies a discreet and enviable position, set well back from the road at the far end of a select development of five contemporary houses. There are delightful views across the surrounding countryside.

The accommodation is centred around an impressive open-plan, vaulted living/dining space which forms the heart of the house and provides an exceptional setting for both everyday living and entertaining. This flows seamlessly through to the kitchen/breakfast room and sitting room, with wide double pocket doors allowing the principal reception area to be opened together to create an expansive entertaining space.
The dining room enjoys an abundance of natural light, with four sets of double doors opening directly onto the terrace and gardens. Wooden flooring with underfloor heating continues throughout much of the principal living accommodation, creating a warm and cohesive feel.

The well-appointed kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with a comprehensive range of wall and base units, centred around a substantial island incorporating a breakfast bar and wine fridge. The units have white quartz worksurfaces and AEG appliances along with pantry storage.

The sitting room overlooks the gardens while a separate study provides a useful home-working space. A side hallway leads to the utility room and cloakroom. There is also a generous ground-floor guest bedroom with an en suite shower room.

The first floor is approached via a galleried landing overlooking the vaulted dining area. The principal bedroom enjoys superb rural views and opens onto a delightful private balcony. It is complemented by a well-appointed en suite shower room with twin washbasins. Two further bedrooms are served by the family bathroom. One of the bedrooms is currently arranged as an impressive dressing room.

Outside, the enclosed gardens are particularly attractive, surrounded by established hedging and thoughtfully landscaped to create a number of distinct areas for entertaining and relaxation. A superb terrace features raised brick planters and several seating areas, together with an impressive pergola incorporating electronically operated side screens and a retractable roof, making this an exceptional space for outdoor entertaining throughout much of the year.
The gardens are further enhanced by external lighting, while the double carport benefits from an electric vehicle charging point and further parking area to the front.
