4Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
We moved in and on our first night our electricity had tripped and we couldn’t fix it ourselves, we thought we would just have to sleep in the dark for the night whilst waiting for an electrician however samir and owais from reception gave us keys for another apartment to stay in until we had our electricity sorted which was very helpful. Reception staff have been very kind and helpful in regards to showing us how to boost the hot water etc.

The wifi provider is Ask4Wireless, meaning every device we try to connect to the wifi takes a few more steps rather than just putting a wifi password in.

1Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area is honestly one of the biggest downsides of living here. There are basically no proper supermarkets nearby, barely any good restaurants or cafés, and not really any nice places around where you can just go for a walk, eat, shop or actually do something. You end up having to travel somewhere else for almost everything. Transport is also way less convenient than it looks on a map. Getting to the nearest stations takes ages, especially when you’re doing it regularly, and relying on the buses is frustrating because they can be late or inconsistent. For somewhere in London, it somehow manages to feel weirdly disconnected from everything. After living here, I definitely wouldn’t choose this area again, especially considering how much you’re already paying in rent.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Honestly, terribly. Issues are either ignored, take forever to resolve, or you have to keep chasing management yourself. Communication is dismissive and it constantly feels like tenants are the inconvenience. When I raised a serious issue, instead of feeling listened to or supported, I was met with changing explanations and an attitude that made the whole situation even worse. It genuinely feels like I work for the management and concierge rather than them providing a service to the people paying to live here.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew that the nice apartments don’t reflect the actual experience of living here. Once you move in, you realise how often things go wrong, how long basic problems can take to be fixed, how messy the parcel situation can be, and how inconvenient the location actually is. Most importantly, I wish I knew what dealing with management would be like. I definitely would not have moved here if I knew beforehand, and I’d seriously recommend speaking to current residents rather than judging the building from a viewing.

5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location of the apartment is excellent. It’s very central and convenient, with everything you need within easy reach — restaurants, shops, cafés, and public transport. It made getting around the city very easy, while still being a comfortable place to come back to. I would definitely recommend it for the location.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They usually deal with things quickly, keep me informed, and make sure the problem is properly resolved. Overall, I’ve had a very good experience with them.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is just how convenient the building would be for everyday life. The location, facilities, and overall management make everything very easy, and that’s something you don’t fully appreciate from a viewing alone. I’d also say that having a responsive management team makes a real difference, especially in a larger building. For a new neighbour, my tip would simply be to get familiar with the building facilities and services early on, as they really add to the experience of living here.

4Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Centrally located with a bus service outside the building that takes you into the city centre within a few minutes, where there are two train stations from which you have access to anywhere in the country. There is also a coach station nearby that will take you directly to Birmingham, Heathrow and Gatwick airports. While there are 2 corner shops in the area, needs a supermarket. It desperately needs visitor parking.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Requests are dealt with in a timely manner, especially by the Property Manager.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I can't think of anything at present. I really enjoyed living at Hairpin.
