Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is really convenient. Leith is close by with supermarkets, restaurants, shops and plenty of places to go. You’re also not far from the city centre, but it’s nice being slightly away from the busy part of town. Everything we need is pretty much on the doorstep.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I've had no issues that have needed maintenance, so thankfully I haven't really had to use the service. Everything has been fine in the flat.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Leith has so much nearby and there are plenty of supermarkets, shops and places to eat, so you don't have to go into the city centre for everything.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Leith is a fantastic place to live, with a great mix of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, bars and green spaces. There’s a real sense of community, and the area has plenty to do while still feeling relaxed and residential. Transport links are generally convenient, with good access to the city centre. Overall, it’s a vibrant and welcoming area with lots of character.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The team are generally kind and helpful, unfortunately most issues arise from out of touch higher ups outside of the dockside property.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

All of the above that has been shared, the hidden costs associated with an already suffocatingly expensive building.

    Sept 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is great — we found the place very well located, close to many restaurants, hotels and markets, with the public transport hub only a 4-minute walk away, including buses and a tram.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very prompt responses to any issues in our unit. Helpful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Honestly can't think of anything, the move-in process was straightforward.

    Sept 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I moved to Dockside a couple of months ago and have really liked the area so far. I like being a little outside the city centre because it feels much quieter, but you are still really close to everything. Leith is only a short walk away and there are lots of places to eat and go for a drink, plus the buses and tram make getting into town really easy. Ocean Terminal is also handy for Tesco and anything you need day to day.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I've had a couple of things that needed looking at since moving in and the maintenance team have been helpful. It's reassuring knowing that when something isn't quite right in your flat, you can report it and there is someone on site who can deal with it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How easy it would be to settle in. Moving to a new city and a new home can be a bit overwhelming, but having such a friendly team and lots of other residents around made it much easier than I expected.

    Sept 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Convenient access to public transport. Very close to a tram stop but trams are occasionally unavailable due to technical issues. A good selection of shops and restaurants nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have been very helpful when I had problems regarding with parcel collection. Otherwise I have not encountered issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Delivery instructions so one can send parcels to arrive on the move-in date.
