Description

This superbly presented four-bedroom semi-detached house has been impressively improved by the current owners, inside and out, to provide an excellent family home with over 1,100sq.ft. of accommodation (excluding the attached store), attractive gardens to three sides and a high-grade block driveway (with electric car charger).

Situated within the popular Oaklands estate, in Prudhoe, on the corner of Priestclose Road and Tarset Drive, the house has been considerately and tastefully refurbished in recent years and should appeal particularly to couples and families looking for a quality home that's ready to move into, with no onward chain and without the need for further improvement. It includes gas central heating, via Baxi combi. boiler, and UPVC double glazing throughout.

The accommodation begins, from the front, with steps up to the covered entrance and a composite front door leading into the hallway, which has some cleverly built-in storage under the stairs, an oak banister and a useful cloaks cupboard.
There are doors from the hallway to both the kitchen and the living room, which is of a good size and has patio doors leading through to the conservatory to the rear, which has laminate flooring, vertical blinds and French doors out to the spacious porcelain-tiled patio.
The kitchen has been beautifully fitted (in 2024) with sage-coloured units and wood-effect worktops with a Range-style cooker (with double electric oven/grill and 5-ring gas hob with extractor over), integrated dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier, LVT flooring, recessed spotlights and a side door to the garden. (the free-standing Samsung fridge/freezer may be included by separate negotiation)
A door towards the front of the kitchen provides handy access into the shower room/W.C., which is fully tiled and has an open / walk-in dual-head mains-fed shower with a full-length screen, a wash basin in vanity unit and W.C.

To the first floor, the landing has two built-in cupboards and a loft hatch with a drop-down ladder to a boarded loft space with a light. There are four bedrooms - three 'double' rooms and a single bedroom/study/dressing room - with three of the bedrooms having built-in cupboards and one also having a built-in desktop.
The bathroom is fitted with a contemporary white suite comprising a bath with a hand-held mixer shower attachment, pedestal wash basin and W.C.

Externally, there are tiered, fenced and landscaped gardens to the front of the house with planted chipped bark borders, a chipped stone seating area, flagged paths and steps and a chipped bark bed / play area. There is also a well-cultivated lawned garden that extends along the side towards the rear and the impressively designed and laid driveway and large porcelain-tiled patio. There is also another stone-chipped area that leads to the side entrance and to the attached store, which has been rendered on the outside and provides excellent storage space.

Location -
Priestclose Road (and adjacent Tarset Drive, off which is the access to the driveway for the house) is situated within the Oaklands estate in Prudhoe, which can be accessed from the B6395 that runs through Prudhoe town centre and from South Road. There is a good range of shops, amenities and facilities in Prudhoe town centre, which is within 0.2miles on foot or 0.6miles by car/road, as well as road/bus links to surrounding villages and towns including the Tyne Valley area and east, along the A695, to Newcastle, which is approximately 10 miles away. There is also a train station in Low Prudhoe, 1.2miles away, with regular services along the Carlisle to Newcastle line. There are numerous clubs and community activities in Prudhoe and local walks and cycle routes along the Tyne Valley, and there is a First School (1mile walk) and a High School (0.4mile walk).
