Description

Thought owning a home was years away? Think again!

Built around 2019 on the modern Blythe Valley Park development, this two-bedroom semi-detached home is offered on a 30% shared ownership basis, making it a realistic and affordable first step onto the housing ladder. A lounge sits to the front, with a kitchen/dining room at the back opening through French doors to the garden, plus a downstairs WC and clever storage throughout. Upstairs you'll find two good-sized bedrooms, a built-in wardrobe in the main bedroom and a family bathroom. And then there's that garden...

We asked them what made them buy it...

"The house was brand new when we first saw it. A blank canvas. It was a new start for us at the time. The local community are warm and welcoming, and there are so many walks and nature reserves around here. It's a prime location for good schools too, which really mattered as our daughter was starting senior school. You get the benefit of a rural area, but you're close enough to everything you need. Shops, pubs, the lot."

What about the house itself?

"I spend most of my time in the kitchen because I love cooking. But the garden is the real star. We vastly improved it and it's the first thing guests comment on when they visit. Between the garden bar and the barbecues, I spend most of the summer outside. We love this house and it's going to be missed. Sadly, we now need more space for a bigger family. But it is home."

Our agents say...

This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot on the ladder. Buying a 30% share keeps your deposit and mortgage within reach, and there may be the option to buy further shares in the future as your circumstances allow, subject to the terms of the lease. Rent is payable on the remaining 70% share, with the monthly figure to be confirmed.

The garden is something else. It's low maintenance, with paved seating areas and artificial lawn, and the garden bar stays with the house, ready for long summer evenings with friends. At the rear, a pergola covers a further paved seating area with space for a hot tub. Less time mowing. More time relaxing.

Blythe Valley Park itself is a great place to live. There's a Virgin Active health club and spa with indoor and outdoor pools, a Co-op for everyday essentials, the Java Roastery coffee house and an Ofsted Outstanding Busy Bees nursery. Around it all sit 122 acres of parkland and nature trails. Junction 4 of the M42 is right on the doorstep, with Birmingham Airport, Dorridge station and Solihull town centre all within easy reach. Get in touch today and let's get you started on the ladder.
