Description

Seller’s comments:

For just over 6 years, this home provided an idyllic haven for my elderly parents- no stairs to navigate and an amazing garden space that was great for them to potter around in. Many happy hours spent listening to the goldfinches that live in the tree next door and watching the 2 resident robins go about their day. Not to mention how much they enjoyed the occasional treat when the ice cream van paid a visit! Lovely community feel in the area (friendly, caring neighbours) which mum and dad really appreciated. The bungalow’s location was perfect for them- tucked away and quiet but also easy to get out into the village or take the bus to Wokingham. We often talked about projects - adding a conservatory, converting the garage etc - a ‘young person’s game’, dad would say. Hopefully someone will catch that vision and see the potential the bungalow has.

Adam's (estate agent) comments:

Bungalows in Twyford are rarely available, particularly those offering a move-in-ready condition, generous gardens and the added benefit of no onward chain.

Tucked away towards the top of a quiet road, this well-presented two-bedroom bungalow for sale in Twyford enjoys a peaceful position with very little passing traffic. The property sits on a particularly generous plot, providing a good-sized front garden, driveway parking for two cars, single garage and a large, secluded rear garden.

The size of the plot also offers excellent potential for those looking to make the property their own, with scope to consider extending the bungalow in the future, subject to the necessary planning permissions and consents.

Inside, the accommodation has been well maintained and refreshed. All carpets were replaced in September 2026, while new flooring has also been laid in the clean and tidy kitchen.

Both bedrooms are well proportioned, with the master bedroom being a particular highlight. It benefits from patio doors opening directly onto the rear garden, as well as an attractive vaulted ceiling which adds to the feeling of space.

The vaulted ceiling is also a feature in the main reception room, creating a bright and surprisingly spacious living area with plenty of room for comfortable seating and dining.

The modern shower room is well suited to everyday living, featuring a walk-in shower and a good amount of space for ease of movement.

Why Twyford?

Twyford is a popular Berkshire village offering a convenient blend of village life and excellent transport connections. The centre of Twyford provides a range of everyday amenities, shops, cafés and places to eat, while the village also benefits from local services and community facilities. For those who enjoy getting out and about without relying entirely on a car, Twyford railway station provides connections towards Reading and London Paddington, with Elizabeth line services also serving the station.

For buyers looking for a quieter home that remains well connected, this bungalow in Twyford, Berkshire offers a particularly appealing combination of single-storey living, generous outside space, parking and future potential. With the property offered with no onward chain, early viewing is highly recommended.
