Description

"We’ve loved calling St Dunstans Road home for the last nine years. A friendly and quiet road tucked away from the bustle of Bedminster, it’s just a short walk from everything we’ve needed. We’ve really valued being so close to North Street for independent shops, cafes and pubs, as well as Wapping Wharf and the harbourside with all it has to offer. More recently, having a playground across the main road, and Victoria Park and Windmill Hill City Farm so close has been great entertainment for our toddler. One of our favourite parts of our home has been the suntrap garden which has been great for entertaining throughout the summers, especially when the shrubbery out the back comes to life full of greenery and small birds! It’s hard to leave, but we’re looking forward to a new chapter moving closer to family (with very regular visits back to Bedminster)!"

The home

A contemporary example of a thoughtfully designed 1930s family home on the sought after St Dunstans Road, with a private north west facing rear garden and gravelled driveway. Boasting a superb single storey extension, the property adopts a typical layout for a property of this era, beginning with a well-appointed hallway, with the stylish living room on your right. The living room features carpet flooring, bay window, alcove storage along with a mantle and chimney breast. Progressing through the floorplan you find an entrance into the formal dining area, with an opening to the kitchen/lounge area. Substantial patio doors look upon the rear garden, beginning with a sun-kissed patio area, artificial lawn, plus a second tier with access to the garden store. Moving back through the kitchen, you find a range of integrated appliances, along with a breakfast bar and pantry/utility area. Upstairs, the style and condition is virtually mirrored to the floor below, with the primary bedroom sits to the front of the property. Adjacent is a modern three piece bathroom suite, with shower-over-bath. The interior is then completed by a second double bedroom, and large single utilised as an office space.

Living in Bedminster

St Dunstans Road is a beautifully quiet street at the foot of Windmill Hill and just to the south of North Street. Towards Windmill Hill, the area is renowned for the fantastic views it offers from many vantage points over Bristol and towards the countryside to the south and west. The area has become one of the most sought after in Bristol over recent years, popular with many for its picturesque streets of charming period homes and the character they offer within. The Rising Sun is the local pub, which offers fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. Towards Bedminster, there is the vibrant North Street, housing a diversity of independents, such as the Albatross Cafe, the highly regarded Kask, as well as Oowee Diner. On from this, the Tobacco factory, a cultural hub of South Bristol, is just a 20 minute walk away with a great line-up of shows. With North Street being just a ten minute walk away, notable spots include Kask, Cor, Spotted Cow, Nook and Burra. Just a small walk away from North Street, you will find yourself at Wapping Wharf, with amazing eateries including Wild Beer Co., Root and Seven Lucky Gods. Towards the east of the home, you come across the vast Victoria Park, which is a hive of activity for families, joggers and those looking to socialise. For commuters and young professionals, the house is also well-located, within walking distance of the City Centre and Temple Meads Station and major employers around the Harbourside and Temple Quay. The area also has some well-regarded shops, cafes and pubs, such as The Victoria Park and Park Bakery, with the popular shops and cafes of Totterdown just a short walk away,
