    The Mint, GU1

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

One of the best things about living at The Mint is its fantastic location. Guildford is such a lovely town, and everything is incredibly convenient. The train station is just a short walk away, the University of Surrey is nearby, and the town centre is easily accessible, with plenty of lovely cafés, restaurants and shops. It is a wonderful location that makes everyday life so much easier and more enjoyable.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The team has always been approachable and willing to help whenever I have needed assistance. Rosa, in particular, has been exceptional. She is incredibly attentive, patient and genuinely committed to helping residents, always making me feel heard and supported.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If there is one thing I wish I had known before moving in, it would be the difference in noise levels depending on which side of the building the apartment faces. My apartment overlooks the train tracks, and while the noise has never been a major issue and I have grown used to it, I do think an apartment facing the other side would have been a little quieter. It certainly hasn’t taken away from my overall positive experience, but it is something I would recommend future residents consider when choosing an apartment.

    The Copper Works, CF10

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The building is within a great location between the city centre and Cardiff bay. However there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour over the past 12 months.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Maintenance problems such as broken communal taps, AC/ heating, doors and toilets get passed to a contractor and go months without being addressed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Grainger will charge you a cleaning fee at the end of your tenancy no matter the condition that you leave your apartment. The check out report will be extremely pedantic (over 200 pages) and general signs of wear and tear are not accepted.

    The Tilt Works, S3

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I love the proximity to the city centre and the ease of access to the centre from the tram stop just outside. There's lots of nearby places for food and drink and it is closely located to Kelham island which is a thriving place. We have had no issues living on this street, and there is no noise from the nearby roads

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have answered quickly to any issues and communicate well in advance as to estimated times/dates they arrive to fix any issues, which is useful.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about activities occuring when I moved in

    The Tilt Works, S3

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is easily one of the best things about living at Tilt Works! Almost everything in Sheffield city centre is within a 20-minute walk, making everyday life incredibly convenient. There’s a Tesco Express and Uni Convenience (our favourite) nearby, and West Street, with its restaurants, cafés, and bars, is just a short walk away. The nearby tram stop also makes getting around Sheffield very straightforward, although we’ve found the area so walkable that we rarely need to rely on public transport. Despite being so close to the city centre, the street itself is surprisingly peaceful. Throughout our time here, we haven’t experienced any issues with antisocial behaviour or disruptive traffic noise, and we’ve always felt safe and comfortable in the neighbourhood. The building also makes everyday life easier, with a convenient bin facility, lovely communal spaces, and a little garden by the main entrance that adds a welcoming touch. Parking is straightforward too, and whenever we’ve needed assistance with arrangements, the Tilt Works on-site team have been incredibly accommodating. They’re always approachable and happy to help, which makes even the smallest practical matters feel effortless. We genuinely struggle to think of any significant drawbacks to the area. It offers a wonderful balance of city-centre convenience and the comfort of a quieter residential street. Having such a thoughtful and helpful team looking after the building makes living here even better.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Whenever we’ve raised an issue, the management team have been quick to respond and have kept us informed throughout the process. They’ve always taken our concerns seriously and made an effort to find a solution as smoothly as possible. What we’ve particularly appreciated is that we’ve never had to feel uncomfortable about bringing something up, even when it’s been a minor issue. The team are easy to communicate with, and it’s clear they genuinely want residents to have a good experience living here.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing worth mentioning is that the walls aren’t particularly thick, so sound insulation might be something to consider if you’re sensitive to noise. That said, we’ve been fortunate with our neighbours and haven’t experienced any noise-related issues (or heard anyone having such issues). Other than that, there haven’t been any unpleasant surprises. Everything has been in line with what was outlined in our tenancy agreement, and our experience has been very positive overall.

    The Tilt Works, S3

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Regeneration at its best. Feeling the life being breathed into an area of the city that was once a place of industry to somewhat a disused and abandoned area. “Up and coming” is the term I think!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always respond asap, it feels like 48hrs max. The communication is AMAZING. All residents are always kept up to date with exactly what is happening. Communist specific and timely. A*.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Will have to think in this, but nothing comes to mind.
