Then wandering to North Street in afternoon chatting to neighbours on the way. In the evening, retreating to the loft for the sunset (and seeing hot air balloons float past!).”

The home

A great mid terrace family home which has been extended and remodelled by the current owners. Downstairs the living room is at the front with a log burner and bay window, keeping the room light and bright. Living in Southville

Birch Road is a residential street in Southville. The house is very close to Sonny Stores, and lies close to North Street, a hub for local independents, restaurants, and shops, including Michelin recommended COR and OTHER, coffee shops Sweven and Burra, and The Tobacco Factory - a café, bar, and theatre that hosts a bustling Sunday market. There are many baby and toddler groups and activities for young families as well as a choice of primary schools within walking distance.

Several parks surround Birch Road, with Greville Smyth Park just around the corner and the smaller South Street Park a 15 minute walk away. Just beyond Greville Smyth (a further 20 minutes) is the sprawling Ashton Court Estate - home to the annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta and 850 acres of wood and grassland.

A short stroll across Gaol Ferry Bridge (15 minutes) will take you to Wapping Wharf - a vibrant foodie destination set on the edge of Bristol’s historic harbourside. The city centre is a further 15 mins on foot. Trains from Temple Meads are 30 mins on foot or 15 minutes by bike, and Bedminster Station 20 minutes on foot.
