Description
At the front, the sitting room has a lovely bay window, detailed ceiling cornicing and a fireplace, with fitted shelving and cupboards making good use of the alcoves. The separate dining room sits behind, where French doors open onto the garden and bring the greenery into view.
Extending to over 18ft, the kitchen combines deep red cabinetry with dark worktops, brass fittings and a tiled splashback. A fitted seating nook creates a comfortable spot for breakfast or a morning coffee, while windows along the side and rear bring in natural light. A separate WC is tucked off the hallway.
Upstairs, both bedrooms are comfortable doubles. The principal room spans the front of the house, with striking teal walls and a generous bank of fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom overlooks the garden and currently combines sleeping space with a useful desk area. A spacious family bathroom completes the floor, finished with painted wall panelling, traditional fittings and a chequered floor.
The garden is a real highlight. Palms, ferns and established planting surround tucked away seating areas, with bold painted walls continuing the character of the interiors outside. A separate timber sauna adds something special, while a further shed provides practical storage.
Bruce Castle Park is close by, offering green space, tennis courts and a playground. The community owned Antwerp Arms is another local favourite, while the shops and cafés around Bruce Grove and Tottenham High Road are within easy reach.
Bruce Grove station provides Weaver line services to Liverpool Street, with an interchange at Seven Sisters for the Victoria line, keeping the City and central London well connected.
Sellers Thoughts:
We’ve absolutely loved living on Bruce Castle Road. It has such a lovely community spirit, a great school at the end of the road and three fab pubs nearby, including North London’s first community-owned pub, right on the park. Close to all shops and amenities, with the Overground just a 7-minute walk away.
One of our favourite things about living here is having the beautiful park directly behind the house. The garden feels wonderfully private, with no houses overlooking it, so you can sit outside or unwind in the sauna, listening to the birdsong and feeling a million miles away from the city, while still being right in the heart of London.
We’ve loved making this house our home. It’s such a special place to live and, honestly, a bit of a dream house!
