Description
Tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined road in Lyndon, this three-bedroom semi-detached home gives you peace and quiet with plenty close by. A bay-fronted lounge leads into a sociable kitchen/dining room, with a generous conservatory beyond. The house also has parking for several cars, a low-maintenance garden with a large patio, and a long list of recent upgrades. You can move straight in and start enjoying it.
We asked them what made them buy it...
“The house had been refurbished before I bought it, with a new kitchen and bathroom, so the first appeal was that I could move straight in without any immediate work. It was like a new house, but with a much larger plot than a new house would give you. The tree-lined road appealed to me too. What I’ve never stopped loving is how quiet it is, even though it’s close to the busy centres of Solihull, Sheldon and Birmingham. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful. We see each other regularly for a chat, and we help each other with little things like putting the bins out. Sheldon has a lovely park, and so does Solihull. Sheldon has some very good, reasonably priced restaurants, and Solihull has plenty of pubs and restaurants as well. Getting around is one of the best things about living here. The motorway network is only ten minutes away, the airport is only three miles away, and my gym in Shirley is just fifteen minutes away.”
What about the house itself?
“I spend most of my time in the lounge/diner, and the open plan layout is what guests always comment on. Since moving in, I’ve added a new counter to the kitchen, redecorated a year ago, and replaced the floors downstairs and in the conservatory. There’s a new boiler, and I’ve insulated and boarded the loft and added a loft ladder. I use the garden for family events, and I’ve recently made it low maintenance, with a large patio area. It’s always a very pleasant place to live. It’s warm in summer, and the central heating is very good, so it’s warm in winter too. I work from home, the internet is very good, and it’s a really quiet place to work and live. There’s parking for up to four cars as well. I’ll miss the convenience of the house, the lovely neighbours, and all the happy times I’ve spent here with friends and family. I think it would suit a family, someone working from home, or a keen gardener, because the garden is a blank canvas right now.”
Our agents say...
Start with the lounge. It’s a substantial room, and the bay window at the front fills it with light. Next comes the kitchen/dining room, with space for a proper family dining table and an open plan kitchen with integrated appliances and plenty of worktop. Then there’s the conservatory, and it’s big. It fits more than one suite, has extra counter space, and has space and plumbing for freestanding appliances. That makes it a second sitting room, a playroom and a utility space all in one. A ground floor WC adds everyday convenience. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a single that would make a great nursery or home office, plus the family bathroom. Step outside and the garden is a real bonus. It has just been made low maintenance, with a large patio that’s perfect for summer barbecues and family get-togethers. If you love gardening, it’s a blank canvas ready for your own ideas. Out front, off-road parking takes several cars, and amenities and well-regarded schools are close by. It’s a home that’s ready now, with room to make your mark. Get in touch today and come and see it for yourself.
