Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

One of the key reasons why I refused to move to another area when it was time for me to vacate my 2-bedroom is because Barking has some of the cheapest takeaways that I can bulk buy to avoid too much cooking. Transport links is another big determinant because Barking is so well connected I literally have no excuse to not show up at work during strikes, as there is always an alternative route (!) my only issue with this area is the council tax payments which feel ridiculous given the local streets don’t look very well maintained. Sometimes when it gets dark I do feel somewhat self conscious of my surroundings especially as a female. Other than these, I really like Barking

Yes they have and actioned accordingly, I don’t have any complaints

I have nothing to add here really, everything was pretty straightforward and transparent

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lived here for more than a year and had a 8 month old baby so navigating Sheffield with a baby has been good The location is really good to shops and restaurants . 10 mins walk to the city centre 5 mins walk to tram station The street is a very busy street , parking availability is limited . Bin collection areas always clean and tidy . No anti social behaviour . Traffic noise is normal with it being a busy street and close to the tram lines

All my issues have been raised . I haven’t had any problems

Everything is positive there no bad at all . Lovely building lovely staff

Right next to two major train stations, as I commute for work and personal endeavours. Restaurants and bars in the area have been lovely

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes there is a handyman who is onsite who helps with any task much quicker then any other rental property I have been at.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If there is one thing I wish I had known beforehand, it is just how expensive the council tax is. While you expect standard living costs when moving in, the monthly council tax bill feels surprisingly high and takes up a much bigger chunk of the budget than anticipated. It is definitely an added extra cost that catches you off guard, and having that extra transparency from day one would have made planning and budgeting so much easier.

Good aspects: very close to station, grocery stores and coffee shops nearby Cons: far from central london

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I usually get a response quite early on, the reception does their best to get me a response soon

Great to be so close to the station and great amenities around

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Nice place to live. Near tram stop. Very quiet. Near the Sheffield university, with some shops and parks around.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes. Love the reception team. Always willing to help.

I quite like the donation point, one is for clothing donations, another for goods exchange. Very warm and friendly.
