Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Milliners Yard is in a great location, especially for students. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and it is conveniently located within walking distance of the university and city centre. This makes everyday life much easier, as most places are easy to reach without needing a car or public transport. Overall, the area is convenient and well suited to student living. The main downside is the ongoing construction work nearby, which can sometimes be noisy and annoying.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

This sis my first week i had no issues to deal with

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

good things are that transportation is really easy at this location everyone is friendly and nice

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The apartment is in a great location, with plenty of supermarkets and Chinese restaurants nearby, making shopping and dining very convenient. There are also quite a lot of homeless people in the surrounding area.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven't raised many issues with the building management. However, on one occasion, our car was broken into in the car park by an outsider, and some belongings were stolen. The only assistance the management provided was access to CCTV footage. There was no compensation or even much sympathy, and we had to deal with everything ourselves. The response felt rather unsupportive, especially given that the incident happened in the apartment's car park.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The apartment feels a bit stuffy. Parcel collection is very convenient thanks to the parcel lockers. However, when there are too many deliveries, some parcels are left outside the lockers

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Whilst I’m still getting used to finding my way around, so haven’t found all the little independent shops and bars, the fabric district is clearly the next place to be. Everything is on your doorstep, and only a lift ride down. In the time we’ve been here, I’ve not had a single negative experience. Yes there is noise, can be rubbish on the streets, and traffic can build up at certain times, none of it lasts. The traffic slows, the council seem to be out every day making the streets look good, and the noise is part of city life. Being here it really feels like you’re in the heart of the real Liverpool. It’s where the workers live, not a tourist area, and that gives it a special charm. The bars, restaurants, takeaways, and shops, all rely on repeat business so they care more. It shows in the little acts of kindness that you see each day. Motorists stop to let the busses out, shop workers take hot drinks out to homeless people, the takeaways remember your order. All these things make others feel valued, and are true selfless acts of kindness. Yeah it may look a bit rough around the edges, but that’s because it’s real, it’s not a put on show for tourists. It’s Liverpool.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I mentioned that there was a small leak under the bathroom shower screen, and they were on it straight away. It wasn’t even a real issue, and is something every other landlord I’ve had would’ve put off or ignored. It doesn’t get better than that.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That it existed before I found it so I could have moved in years ago!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Fabric District is a very up and coming area, with great transport links (we’re only minutes from Lime Street), a 15 minute walk to Liverpool One, and everything else you could need on your doorstep. The building is right near the Royal and all the unis- but not close enough that you get disturbed by sirens!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They let us know of an issue they’d picked up just before we moved in, which was amazing, as we already knew it was being sorted before we’d even seen it! We’ve only had one minor issue ourselves, and it’s being sorted straight away

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That we would finally feel properly at home. Getting to meet all the resident pets is a definite bonus!! Also- I don’t think we’ve ever waited longer than 15 mins for a takeaway to arrive since we’ve been here!
